    foot ache

in a road cycling post I found an insert called G8 2620. has adjustable levels of support. very tempted to try, but it does cost same as a pair of shoes. Still if it helps me enjoy riding it is worth a punt

    foot ache

ride on the balls - heels down as much as i can on the descents. definitely ploughing! will look at the barefoot solution to see if I get some inspiration. never been told i have flat feet or high arches or anything in particular. at 95Kg in my pants I am overweight and putting a lot of pressure...

    foot ache

that's a thought. it's only a problem when i ride mtb downhill, so cynic in me thinks i might just be told to get another hobby. i had a road bike fit recently and should have raised it then. the fitter did try some carbon insoles in my road shoes, but since they made no difference he said not...

    foot ache

I used to ride spd shoes and pedals, but for last 10 years have been using flats with fiveten freeriders. When I rode acoustic bikes my only complaint was how wet they got. Apart from when I rode at a bike park, then the arches of my feet really ached (same when I tried reverting back to spds)...

    Uber brake pads

eventually took the ubers off the rear as well. just too much judder and noise. Now back on the SRAMs front and back and definitely see more consistent braking. Riding is quieter and more more enjoyable too.

    E160s and a Megneg upgrade!

MegNeg still going well for me. I am getting full travel if I ride large (for me) drops. That earlier ride mentioned above was relatively easy so not getting the full travel at that time - which is what you'd want.

Would you be willing to pay an "e-bike fee" to ride at MTB parks?

Endoguru makes a fair point and pay per run is ultimately fair, but I can't see a way to implement it. Honesty box?

Would you be willing to pay an "e-bike fee" to ride at MTB parks?

As expressed it seems anomalous since as you say neither pedal or ebike contribute to the uplift revenues, but there is some logic in saying that Ebikes will cover a lot more trail distance in the day. So asking a premium to contribute to the trail maintenance does make sense.

Not certain I have understood exactly what you need but have measured the following: Between the weld edges of the stanchion and where the seat tube brace meets the top tube is 60mm The gap between the slimmest part of the air can diameter and the top tube is 21mm the slim portion of the...

    First experience - Whyte E160 S

Hi Doomie will check that tomorrow for you. I also mount this bike on a Thule from time to time. I clamp onto the brace between the seat tube and the top tube. Works fine. Just find the Thule a bit heavy to handle if I'm on my own and only carrying one bike, so I bought this single bike carrier...

    E160s and a Megneg upgrade!

Hmmm. Lot to think about. I bought a high pressure shock pump to enable me to get to 30% sag. Needed around 310 psi. Then I stopped getting full travel. I'd had full travel prior to that with 280-290 psi and 35% sag. 2 pos 2 neg bands. I'll continue to experiment. Was having too much fun at the...
