well 7 or 8 is as much as I get with the uplifts and as much as I can manage in terms of descents. Have a great day out. If you happen to pass through Monmouth on your way there you're welcome to borrow the inverter and battery which would give you an extra bar of battery over a lunchtime recharge

    whyte e180 rs

I think you're younger and fitter than me. I never found it that easy getting an acoustic into the trailer, so imagine I'd really struggle with the electric. Be interested to see how many runs you can get in. Maybe your 'tuned' ECO will pay dividends again.

    whyte e180 rs

Question on BPW. Are you planning to ride to the top or use the uplift? I ask because I reckon loading the bike on the uplift trailer will be back breaking, but the pedalling up will limit the number of descents you can manage. I got myself a deep cell battery and inverter to try and extend the...

likewise I fitted Hope 155mm to reduce pedal strikes and am happy with the outcome. Pedal strikes can lead to accidents and damage to components after all, so definitely not desirable. I also fitted Rockguarz bash plate to reduce paint loss on the BB. It isn't pretty but it does work.

it is. and yet the 65 yo rides it on his acoustic bike. I've ridden large parts of it, but not done it all in one go yet. It's the reason I bought the inverter - to have a mini charge mid ride.

Chain wear - when to replace

side question. I have used Tredz for years no problem. lately they are taking weeks to send stuff blaming COVID, but other suppliers delivery has not changed from a day or two. Do you have same experience or have I been unlucky? I'd like to support Tredz as I am S Walian, but not going to wait...

    Newbie - Specialized Turbo Levo

hello Seb Nothing to say on the Spesh. Tubeless is great. can run at lower pressures which is great for grip without fear of pinch punctures. standard punctures are also less likely. The caveat is that if you have a big failure they are much harder to repair. you need to carry a spare tube in...

    Hope 155mm Cranks

first ride on the hope 155mm today. Definite benefits from my perspective. only one pedal strike going round cwmcarn where I usuall have quite a few. Didn't notice any instability. Note I am not a jumper. Was hard getting the old cranks off. Long bar and lots of muscle. The orange coloured...
