About 900m to my local track. Not that I want to ride it often as it is a XC race track mainly but it is somewhere to ride.
I prefer places with hills.
Oropi - 111km
Rotorua - 119km
Taupo - 155km
Te Miro - 45km
Tokoroa - 95km
I'm 61. Started MTB 20 years ago after a massive crash racing the MX nationals made me realise that 40 year old bodies don't bounce like teenage ones. To be fair, I had been off the MX bikes from about 18 or 19 after an industrial accident until my mid 30's so I was trying to catch up on...
I bought a 700Wh battery and use both. I put the 700Wh in when doing long point to point rides or going for an epic day at Rotorua or Taupo - sometimes I even take the 500Wh and put that in for the late afternoon if I am on-track for 70-80km for the day.
Have the 500Wh in the bike for rides...
I use a cheap Chinese one - nice solid alloy construction, will hold damn near any phone and you can set up portrait or landscape config.
GUB Phone Mount
I am not too sure as to whether they would be worth the cost and the time to set up and maintain.
I rode a test bike with the Ribi fork in the 80's and thought they were absolutely brilliant. Held the front end up when hard on the brakes entering a corner so when you hit big braking bumps the...
Hopefully my Tuned will arrive early next month. Don't know when I will get to ride it though as I have been off the bike 3 weeks now and waiting on a surgery date to sort a back issue.
That is how it is supposed to work - and to be fair, on a conventional bike it does, however the extra torque on an ebike creates more wear.
To be fair, I reckon that for a lot of those experiencing this wear, we are doing 2/3 things different from our previous riding history.
1 - we are doing a...
I think you need to swap in a new freewheel hub. I know that to go from 10sp to 11sp you have to fit a small spacer on before the cassette - at least with the 2 different wheelsets I have purchased. In both cases the spacer came with the wheelset. With 12sp you do need a new freewheel hub.
I don't use Mission Control for live tracking as it really sucks the juice. Have been using ridewithgps for tracking my rides and just use MC for adjusting things.
Hey mate - y'all gonna find some trails you don't normally ride are just brilliant on an eMTB. Old Chevy is one I used to make myself do at least 2 or 3 times a year ... now it is almost every visit to Rotovegas.
What sort of coinage are they wanting for the Focus these days? Looked at one...
That is how it has always been for pretty much any vehicle. I started test riding MX bikes for some magazines in the 70's and got into all sorts of product testing over the years. From about 1999 onwards I have been involved with several American MX websites with a lot of testing involved and...
Have only managed a carpark ride as have been flat on my back for 2 weeks and missed a chance to ride one on the trails. Based on 10 minutes playing around I think for me comparing this to a Levo Comp, the Comp has the nod.
However, I think the new Scott I am looking at with the G4 Bosch not...
