it may reduce assistance earlier and more steeply, however having raced both I vastly prefer the Shimano motor as when I got to 32kph I was able to pedal through and gain an extra 2-5 kph in some sections where with the Levo motor I just could not pedal through - and that was with the original...
Personally I don't think derestricting would be an issue if the limits were somewhat relevant.
The American 32kph, while not perfect (most riders I talk to say 36kph would be excellent) is a whole lot better than the 25kph the nanny EU has foisted on you lot. To be fair, I would not even...
When it comes to categories i think there is way too much trying to invent a category for every occasion. Me, I kind of simplify things and without taking into account Trials (which whether bicycle or motorcycle is kind of a red-headed step-child) I break it down into 3 classes:
XC race bikes -...
Naw, that was da-aum ........ That is in a Southern American drawl - Texas to be exact.
Dunno - my last Scott ticked all my boxes really - except range.
Not sure how the Bosch with the 625Wh will go, but expect it will give me the 5-10 km more than the 504Wh I require. The only new Bosch I...
Fonk No. My ex always reckoned the posted speed limit was my Minimum Speed Required
I do however drive with both hands on the wheel ...... unless
I am changing gear
I have a beer in one hand
I am being helpful and giving directions with my middle finger
I have a burrito in one hand...
Some idiot down here went to a frigging concert - knowing he/she had flu symptoms.
Seriously, if you are that stupid you deserve to be locked up until you either come right or die.
Yes - had 60km with 12% remaining riding the Waikato River Trail but that was pretty much all in Eco and just cruising along.
Around 880m - 920m climbing depending on the trails. About 85% Eco, 10% Trail, 5% Turbo.
On of the original old trails Old Chevy could have been made with ebikes in...
Had a 2019 Scott eGenius with the Shimano motor and at the same time had a Levo Comp with the Brose. I bought the Levo to be able to fit the 700Wh battery as both the Scott & the Levo only gave my fat ass 40km riding around Rotorua and most of that was in Eco mode.
In my opinion the Scott was...
Quite happy with that. Voted for voluntary euthanasia as I watched my dad suffer for more than 10 years in agony each and every day with a range of issues that they would not operate on due to his age.
Currently have been off work for over a month with spinal issues after tripping over a kids...
First world worries. Seriously, more kids are going to die of hunger this year in Africa than from Covid-19 I expect, but we don't see the media frenzy about that.
In New Zealand around 400-500 people die of Influenza related issues every year and yes I have lost a loved one that way. I...
Appears to be a media frenzy about sweet FA.
More people dies daily from cancer - or heart disease - or diabetes - or AIDS - or suicides - or mosquito born diseases - or car crashes. Hell, over 600 people are murdered in Chicago annually.
Take a deep breath (not of somebodys sneezes) and nmake...
Yup - I often am lead rider for a couple groups. I just make sure I ride at a pace that suits them and trails suited for their skills and experience .... just the same as when I was on a non EMTB.
Rail 9.8 is $9900 NZD as compared to $9700 for the Levo Comp ($13K for the carbon).
Personally I way prefer the Lyrik Select Plus on the Rail over the Revelation Charger on the Levo.
Also prefer the Shimano brakes on the Trek over the Sram on the Levo. battery wise, yes the 700Wh has more...
