Nice one. Ive just installed the same light.
Not the 3300lumens I was expecting, but I’m happy with it.
Is your light up the correct way?
I have the same light I wired into my Rail. With the connection hidden inside.
I have the light up the other way though, I’m sure the three LEDs and lense...

Guessing your Rise is EP8 Shimano? So quoted output is 2500lumens

This thread above contains info about Exposure and Magicshine Ebike lights that wire directly into the motor and are powered by the battery.
Hi Rob,
I was kicking myself for getting the lesser power/more expensive Exposure light!
I’ve looked into the detail.
Exposure Flex quoted max lumens = 3300
Magicshine quoted max lumens = 4500
However these light outputs aren’t available to all Ebikes.
We are both using them on Rails/Bosch...
I’d take a guess and say that only the high end carbon frames will be modified to accommodate the larger battery.
With alloy frames inc the Rail 9 using the Bosch Gen4 setup with 625wh battery as per 2021.
What bike do you have?
I’m unsure if the rear light loom is supplied on the 2021 Rail9. When I removed the motor to tighten the creaking motor mounts.
I don’t remember seeing the rear light tails.
won’t need to remove the crank, but you should be able to remove the bash guard and check the...
just spoke to my LBS about your issue.
yes there is an option in that drop down menu to have the light on Permanently, or switched by the Purion/Kiox.
so your LBS have just selected the wrong option for you.
Zorg,
that’s not how you wanted it. But as said above, it is an option that is often used on city bikes so the lights are on whenever the bike is powered up. Similar to DRLs on cars.
i have just wired my light into my Rail. The Kiox button was enabled by my LBS and it is working correctly, it...
I got the LBS to enable the light option when I bought my Rail, I’ve had an Exposure Flex Ebike light for a month but not had a chance to fit it.
Now the nights are drawing in, I’ll be needing it.
Hopefully get it wired in this week.
nice that trek pre installed the Bosch lighting cable with...
looking at the above. Is PhilG on a Trek Rail? As his version of Tour would actually be “Trek Emtb-lite” which is a dynamic assist mode similar in feel to EMTB but with max assist lower than EMTB.
Where as Graham’s could be the normal static Tour assist at 140%.
I’ve got the same bike, also have two tokens that came in a bag.
I’ve got other bikes running 2018 Factory 36s and 2019 RS Revelations (plus older 26” stuff) and the Zebs don’t feel harsh at all.
After reading a few threads on here, I was expecting them to feel harsh and horrible!
Did your...
I’m 190cm tall and have a Large Rail9 as per your photo. I’m running a OneUp 210mm dropper.
XL could have been better, but I’ve never sat on one, plus it meant waiting another year to get it. But I swayed away from it as I’d ridden Trek Powerfly in Med/Large/X-Large and the XL was like riding a...
I found some bright blue Regatta trousers from start fitness (also on eBay) that do a slim waist and long leg version.
Mine were this type but in a 33” waist

Is the Kiox making full contact on all terminals when it clicks into its cradle?
also do you have the Bosch Ebike connect app to pair with the Kiox and check software status?
