Hi Super Mex
Welcome to EMTB
I am a few more years older than you and an ex motorcycle rider as well.
My E bike is a city bike which suits me in the Australian sunshine.
After a year of riding and with 6100 km traveled my suggestion to you is take it easy. Let the young guys break their...
At twelve months old and 5300 km my rear wheel is cracking around multiple spokes. Now with a small buckle it’s not serviceable or possible to straighten the rim. I am looking for advice on a replacement rim for a
Alex mD35 tubeless ready,32 hole35 mm or similar in black for a 27-5 tire...
There seems to be more than one chain price point when it comes to choosing new Shimano chains? Something not mentioned is the part number or brand names of the chains used in the previous posts?
In Australian dollars it’s $39 for a basic Shimano 10 speed narrow wide chain or $90 for an E bike...
I don’t ride a rail but do have a suggestion based on what I experienced today.
I had always felt my bike was a bit short. Now this is strange but simply raising the nose of the saddle up today has made a huge difference in the feel of the bike.
Thanks Funkeydunk That explains a lot. My trek is 8 months old and I was told the service warning would come up on the display but I could never get a definite answer as to what number of kilometres it would be. I took my free service months ago and only recently had the “service required “...
Mteam I am not sure if you are even asking about the latest update i have for a Bosch powered trek? But if you are one of the updates is the ability to turn the flipping headlight and taillight off. The switch has always been there but only after this weeks update can I turn the lights off. I am...
Hi vicsalt ,
I am a little older than you and also ride mostly on hard surfaces.
Yes you are correct increasing the size of the front sprocket will in theory give you a higher top speed. I added a larger sprocket to my trek bike. In reality the top speed remains about the same with only your...
It’s spring in Australia with another long dry summer on it’s way . While my ride is more suited to the cycle paths I enjoy the protection 365 days a year of full mudguards as fitted standard. In fact I intend to extend the lower front guard slightly with a rubber dropper to stop even more duck...
As well as pedals seat and grips a new helmet to match the colour of the bike is always an option.
It has taken me 8 months and 3500 km to fine tune the seat height distance and placement of controls. Only now am I thinking I might change the handle bars. I might be slow but why rush in and...
Anyone who has not been out riding lately will soon realise its swooping season again.
Having had blood drawn a few times from my ears and read of a guy in Mildura losing an eye it’s no joking matter. Be careful riding fast and give these birds what they want. They want you out of their territory.
Is it the cadence that increases the assistance Giff or how hard you push down on the pedals?
I think it’s how hard you push down or how much you contribute that changes the contribution from the motor.
I realise tour+ is not for everyone and we all have different needs. Or ride in different...
Gee rideordie that is some coincidence?
At about 6 months old my bike did have a blank screen one day when first turned on.
Taking the unit to the dealership saw a reboot and all was good.
Did they actually try another kiox display on your bike?
I have had the tour+ for a few hundred km now . My impression is for my style of riding on bike paths that are smooth but hilly is I will definitely be keeping it switched on. As I often do the same 3 hour circuit around the same smooth bike path I feel I have a good understanding of how the...
I have had my ebike for 8 months. I definitely get out on it a lot more than my old bike . As a retired person I can ride as often as I like. I have lost weight and gained fitness but then again that was to idea of the purchase in the first place.
I added a countersunk screw in the first week of owning the bike. I did not have an issue with the kiox display falling off because I didn’t wait. For me it is a security issue.
Updates can be done without needing to remove the screw on the back of the display.
