Dry all day today (Fri). Forecast to be dry all day on Sat as well. The forecast is for a dry morning but some showers in the mid-afternoon on Sunday. TBH, could do without the showers, but they will be a small problem in the woods.
I use the dropper stanchion, but leave the front wheel on the ground. If I need to work on the front wheel, I drape the bike over the work stand top bar. The work stand top bar is at the top of the down tube, underneath the head tube. I am not averse to putting the bike upside down on the floor...
I managed 3100miles on my Focus Jam2 with e8000.
Currently 2370m on a Merida eOne-Sixty with EP8.
Zero problems with either motor.
All are trail miles, never used as a commuter bike; that would really clock up the miles!
Well, that is five definites, me, @myapes, @Davvee, @DaveDog and @weiran
And one maybe: @Rahr85
Roll up, roll up! It's not going to be that wet, Pines soaks up the water until about November. Then it gets wet.
The shock is only that length when it is unloaded, the rest of the time it is shorter than that. It will fit. Don't fit it with any pressure in it. Let us know how you get on.
Try Halfords! The blue paint on my Focus Jam2 was an EXACT match for Peugot's Aegean Blue Metallic. Focus may have used a paint from another car company. When I started looking, I started with German cars as Focus are German, then just worked my way down the blue colour range. You may have...
I've never had an EP6.
If you have adjusted the settings on your EP8 then you will have an idea of what might be available on the EP6.
I'm pretty sure, based upon the sum total of two different bikes by different manufactures (Merida and Nukeproof), that the original settings are random. They...
If you are not falling off, you are not trying hard enough!
Welcome to the Forum. :)
You will soon find out what sort of body armour you will need (not may need). Don't leave it until you are covered in scars and have had weeks off the bike recovering from ligament damage or broken bones.
Actually, if it is a problem for you, I would not bother taking any at all. Unless you will be setting up tyres from scratch the only reason you need more latex is if you get catastrophic tyre damage needing you to fit a tube to get back to base. Yiu could always buy some when you are out there...
You can pretty much take what you like if it goes in the hold. (Subject the usual exclusions of big knives, explosives, gas canisters, lithium-ion batteries and the like).
It is only the carry on that is subject to the "100ml bottles, must fit into a one-litre plastic bag" rule.
I once tried the compressor at the nearest petrol station on the A1. "It can do truck tyres so it must have a good flow" is what I thought. It didn't and was totally useless. Yes, it could go up to a high pressure, but only slowly. The compressor at my LBS had a big reservoir tank and blew the...
If you use black Gorilla tape, it looks like carbon fibre! I sold some 26" wheels and I stripped off the manky old rim tape and used GT (this was when I was a fan of GT and before my epiphany). Plenty of pics showed how fantastic the wheels looked and I got a really good price. :)
But I...
