Don't stress it - @Zimmerframe is not a native English speaker .... not only does he crash more than anyone he managed to butcher both English and his native French.
I also have the feeling he thinks in Eskimo or something ?
So, I was browsing a certain asian site looking for bits that might be interesting on my Cheeb build and what do I find.
A WHOLE eMTB - 48V 750W .... wow, and not only that it is magical.
It has 4 working modes ...
Now me, I never really considered pushing my bike home after I had broke it...
Really used the lockout on my Genius a lot - on my eGenius ....... never really.
If they wanted to make a change - have a handlebar layout something similar to the Levo (about the only thing I like on them) - on the left a simple, easy to use power selector and a dropper post lever and on the...
Hell - the one thing I would think would open the market up and create some interest is some sort of standard .... won't happen though.
Ever tried to buy a Shimano motor? Some areas are struggling to get motors to fix Out of Warranty issues (crash damage).
And kill their business model? Doubt...
I have found on one particular short climb that hitting it in Tour rather than eMTB or Turbo lets me nail it every time. In eMTB it occasionally breaks loose and Turbo is just too lively.
On another particular climb that is a lot longer but just as steep, I drop my seat about 1 - 11/2 inches...
Sadly, Giant NZ is a sub of your importer. Absolutely the worst reputation for warranty issues. Not that their predecessor was any better.
Your frame however is very much repairable.
Oh, and yes the current prices for ebikes is complete and total profiteering by the manufacturers. Levo...
Starter motors, alternators etc are a big market for them. They need to have a bike manufacturer take ownership and do software and astetics development - like Spesh with Brose.
Ddidn't I see a move about them? Planes, Trains & Automobiles ;)
Oh hell - YES PLEASE. Got to freewheel Gregs...
One look at that controller and I already know that I will not have a Bosch powered bike for my next one.
That is the crappy controller on the G4 KIOX and it is forking less than useless when compared to other current offerings.
Don't mind the KIOX display too much, but that controller is SHITE.
Have a 2020 Genius and started on a 2019 Genius with Shimano motor. Love the Scott bikes - great geometry and feel .... for me anyways.
The Strike and Genius are not too far apart but the Genius has longer and larger diameter forks. You are looking at 160mm travel for the Genius and 140mm for...
I just rocked up to my Scott dealer and asked about a battery cover. Can get one from the distributor in a couple days for my Genius, which I believe is the same as the Strike ... ask your local dealer.
I use this blue foam to protect fork legs etc when loading multiple bikes on racks and the black Laminated Closed Cell Packaging Foam when wanting to line storage areas. The lamininated stuff is about 1M x 1M and glues to a backing easily. When I was using a small hatchback I had it glued to...
Helped someone sort an E010 error earlier in the year. Was corrosion inside one of the connectors. Used a pointed wire brush on a Dremel tool then coated with dielectric grease on reassembly - has done another 1000+ fault free kms since then.
Personally I think Shimano has done fairly well considering. Loved the e8000 in my Scott Genius better than the other 3 motors at the time. However, the Gen4 Bosch is really a step up compared to the Gen2. The Brose motor in my Levo was a love/hate relationship and was pretty pissed that I...
