Well, my plan was to just install the cable, to give me a general purpose usb port to charge phone, camera, etc, not the induction charger bit.
I seem to recall that it says on the bosch website that the aux port is to run nav equipment etc. If it can't even charge a phone, wtf is it for?
I...
Thanks for the reply. I have read that using the lighting port turns off the motor at 10% battery, which sounds like a pain the ass.
I don't get why bike motor manufacturers don't give us usb. It seems like a no brainer to me.
I have mine mounted on a head strap under the visor of my full face, its where my forehead would be, basically. vibration is fine, bit of wind noise now and then.
I had this problem, with a park tools pump, I live just above a petrol station, so I went down, and blasted them on there, with the adapter you have. I sprayed some bike cleaner onto the tire, to help it slip in, it took a few attempts.
The damn adapter kept on screwing the valve core out...
Will this enable me to add a general porpoise usb charging port to my bike?
I was thinking of connecting it to the aux power port, rather than te lighting port. Will the battery still cut off at 10% like the lighting port?
I am not so up on all this voltage n amps etc stuff, will this fritz my...
I usually zip past analogue bikers, but occasionally I get a superfit dude who hears the motor whine, and starts speeding up, I can feel the rage coming off them. I sometimes like to hang behind them for a minute or so, just to watch them suffer. It's not big and It's not clever, but it's funny.
Alpinestars used that design, in the 90s I guess, supposedly eliminates chain slap. Funnily enough, I saw a 90s vintage alpinastars frame like that just laying on the street a couple of weeks ago. It used to look so hi tech to me then, now it looks positively victorian.
Oh please crash in it, for science! I nearly crashed the other day, and as time slowed down, i thought, "this is gonna hurt, oh wait, maybe not, I got this fancy armoured shirt, it will be informative", but then I didn't crash, so sorry for that, hehe.
How fragile are the pads? I saw a review of...
Did you crash in the urbane pro? I just recently got one, pretty happy with it, but not crashed yet, touch wood, no pun intended. This is the problem with armour, noone is prepared to take one for the team, in the name of science!
Thanks, Zim.
I must admit, I am somewhat disapointed that you haven't personally slid down a rock garden in it, for science, but I am happy with it, it really is well constructed, looks real quality, and I could try it on, and touchie feely it up.
Of course, there a no guarantees in a crash...
Well, I found an urbane pro 2 in a local shop, in large, only one in stock, which fit me well, so I pulled the trigger. Not cheap, but worth it, I think. Pretty comfy, super well made, and I got a Knox hanger! Heavier than I expected though.
You guys have me convinced about inserts, I was thinking about going tubeless anyway, and I am a deeply average rider who has no idea how to weight the front wheel, so it seems a no brainer. Plus, I surely can't be expected to keep my tires properly inflated, I mean, come on....
Anyway, which is...
