I put the Hope Pro5 in and still had some play, but it was in the main pivot linkage as well as the old wheel. So i had to strip the pivots/arms and re-do them all properly. This time using some Loctite as per the latest thoughts.
I'm still waiting on Orbea to respond as not only did they want...
I'm not unhappy that i bought Mrs Weeksy an Ebike and she didn't gell with it as a concept/riding. We spend a lot of time together and MTBing is my 'away' time.... So the fact that i do it without her is fine with me.
I'm not going to get too hasty and will service the hub with new bearings and see. I agree 400 miles is poor beyond words, but not completely impossible. I expect I'll have a set of bearings in spares for it, maybe that'll sort it. But I think it's pretty unlikely.
We'll see what Orbea say as...
I bought a Hope PRo5, just waiting for it to arrive, but i've also had my LBS raise a case with Orbea, but he doesn't think i'll get a wheel as he's not convinced it more than wear and tear... with 400 miles on the bike, i'm not convinced, but i'm not going to argue too much.
I bought the Pro5...
Interesting read this one. Notice some play in my rear wheel today Side to side wiggle/play like a bearing, is that the usual symptom? fitted a spare wheel and that's fine, so it's wheel rather than frame.
Mine is a H15. No markings on hub.
Question.
1. Can I run a 6 bolt? Do I need a magnet...
I just need to drop mine into my LBS next time i go to town, they need to take pics and then sort with Orbea. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine though. I'll then throw in the new one.
I like taking the back end apart, the pivots, etc... I do a bike about once a fortnight at the moment as we've got a lot of bikes and a lot of riding. In summer it'll be about once every 4 weeks.
Just make sure you note where spacers go and torques. Some different bits like a different sequence...
It's not mate, i type quickly and spend all day on the internet being an IT bloke in my work life, so throwing a few paragraphs together between work isn't an issue for me.
But you seem to be spewing things out basically telling me and the others who don't want the limit raised (or more likely...
For you. That's it mate. It's about that for you.... you're one voice and it's your voice. But honestly, don't think everyone out there wants or needs the same thing as you.
I'm not knocking your idea, you're perfectly entitled to believe and say the above... but i disagree completely with you.
Why don't Speedbox or whoever make a 20mph derestrict kit and everyone would buy it? Answer is, people want More and more. If you up it to 20, people still want 25 and will still chip it.
I still don't get your 'safer' logic. There's a very very small number of people who can pedal a manual at...
It doesn't bother me. On the trails if I need to exceed the power cut to hit a specific feature, I just pedal harder. The wall, meh, not really, it's not that much of a factor.
Although I'll admit, on the Trek Rail the wall you speak of is more pronounced
I own an Orbea Rise H15, also a Liv Embolden E+. Along with that I ride a Specialized Status 160.
Yesterday I was at bike park Wales on the Status, today I was riding local trails on the Orbea.
I recently restricted my Orbea as it had been derestricted by the previous owner. It didn't affect my...
Ebikes are not capped. Ebikes are not restricted!!!
All that's restricted is the cut off of assistance. The rest is down to people. Get fitter, stronger, faster if you want to exceed the 15.5 limiter, just pedal, push them legs.
If ebikes couldn't go faster than 15.5 then you'd have a point...
