Have just watched the video posted by Ecky and it certainly makes interesting viewing! Not what I was expecting for sure. Maybe that 2.8 high roller would make sense Ian!
And I can't understand why anyone would buy a Minion SS!! Why slide about in mud if you don't need to? The fact that I have never seen another e-bike fitted with a Minion SS tells a story to me!
The Maxxis Aggressor 2.5 exo DD is a good all-rounder on the rear, I think. Very tough and grips in...
Same happened to me - both mine and wife's bike when he had Trek Powerflys. Took about two weeks to get the new motor. Neither bike had more than 400 miles on them. Must have been a duff batch of bearings
You will have to take me on that one when I come down next Jeff! I'm off to Staffordshire today for a couple of days riding - staying right next to Cannock Chase.
Hi Bike Doctor! I do love that Merida of yours! I drooled over one for some time and I can honestly say that if it wasn't so damned expensive here in the UK then its what I would have ended up with.
Haha well said ccdave :-)
I fail to see how derestricting could mess up the e-bike community and cant understand why people are getting their knickers in a twist about it? Surely in this free world it can't be taboo subject? It's a personal choice - you can either do it or not. Simple.

Has anyone else tried the PearTune de-restricter for E8000? I find it works well on shimano - only drawback is that the speed displayed is 50% - so it show 10mph when you are doing 20 But who really looks at their speedo when hurling down though a forest? I also used PearTune on my Bosch and...
I can definitely recommend Stans - been using it for a year or 2 now. Until recently, I was always used to pumping my tyres up every few days......until I used Gorilla tape!! Thoroughly cleaned the rim with alcohol, 25mm Gorilla tape seated nicely over the rim holes, then the correct size rim...
I can't really give a review of the Fox as I've only ridden it on the road for test rides after making tweaks. It is wifey's bike but she loves it! The suspension/geometry set-up is so much better than the trek powerfly it has replaced. She reports that she can now barely feel the sharp bumps...
Having taken delivery of one a few days ago (my wife's bike), I can assure you that it does indeed look superb. The quality of the frame and finish is top notch.
Kernow - for comparison....the Ford Inverter in my van (which has the extra battery + 3 pin plug) can only handle up to 130watts. The Bosch 500wh battery charger can draw up to 345 watts, so its way short. I would guess that going for a 500 watt Inverter would cover you for most things.
