I'm building a system that could use my existing Makita 18v batteries. The first kind of prototype uses 25w light that has 5x Epistar leds. The watts per lumen is not so good as with Cree LEDs in my previous Fenix lamps but the light acts now as a testbench if the combination is usable in mtb...
I think I broke my Giro Switchblade MIPS-helmet to a point that I might need a new helmet. At the same time I made a change to start using MX helmet during DH-riding. So..just a thought: Why wouldn't I buy a MX trial helmet for my next helmet for EMTB trail riding? Is it a threat … or...
I wonder why the full face helmet weight is quite often a little issue in mountain biking but "never" when running mx. Not that I'm any MX-specialist but..
Why not just use loctite in the threads? The cable ties will rub all the paint away after a while.
Edit: I used cabletie as quick fix for rear brakehose and the end result could be seen in the frame paint damage.
Someone could test the affect of 25hz GPS in Strava segments. The error should be smaller in both ends: the start and the end as Strava chooses the closest point. I think the 1Hz is not accurate enough for fast speed downhill segments.

Any quick tips for settings for gopro 10 for downhill biking? I included the chesty in the package and thought it would be best mount for DH.
Works great in DH. I got used to the weight quite fast. Normally I wear Under Armour heatgear shortsleeve shirt under it and it seem to work also in hot conditions (30'C). Bought also 6.5 neckbrace and integration to the body armour is great with red rubberbands on sides.
My plan was to use the...
The Kenevo will have much more professionally made integration to ride tracking software let's say Strava, Garmin or equivalent than Bosch "old" Gen 4.
You and the internet is making it too complicated. Just buy it, install it, ride it.
I have Cushcores with Michelin DH34 in my other bike and didn't ask a thing from Internet. Seems to work.
The price was good for Trek Rail 5 on April 2020: 3700 euros. Been happy even though some (most..) of the components have been upgraded (replaced..) since but that shouldn't surprise anyone 😄 Trek felt trustful mainstream brand. Before the order I testride Rail 7 like 100m on asphalt.
At that...
Could you be more specific what was the issue?
Had zero issues with them. The 2022 ordered were a little tighter to get on wheel than 2020. Lot's of installation difficulty depends on wheter you have wirebead DH-tire or something more lighter.
LBS can't choose the firmware version, it's always the newest one. They can only choose on different setups depending on the bike: tour+ etc. The Volspeed V3 is not dependent on firmware so you can safely take whatever (..well it's the newest) is available.
I wouldn't do anything for the motor...
I'm starting to think that the 5300 euros price for 625wh battery with Purion controller is a little on pricy side if you compare it to Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC 750 at 4999 price tag (Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC SL 750 27.5 polarsilver n orange 2022 - E-Bike Fully Mountainbike)
Of course...
Engineers design more compact, lighter and more powerful engines.
That's what they do.
But there are two limitations on these engines; Bosch, Shimano, Brose and Yamaha which are the best I tried:
1) The union of electronics and mechanics does not hold up well over time and mileage.
2)...
