Just found out something today:
I was wondering why Bosch sells T40 1/4 torx with a 8 euros price tag here locally. Well one reason could be that Bosch CX GEN 4 T40 bolts are torx PLUS and not ordinary torx.
There's a small difference:
My 2020 bike had Alex MD35 rims as stock and on my possibly bit rough use the joint moved in such way that running tubeless was too much work. They were okay for a while when I glued them and put rim tape over the joint but in the end there was too much unnecessary work for me.
Notable is that...
Nice color!
Some things to observe:
- Rim joints moving under tape and emptying tires
- Freehub bearing radial play
- GX derailleur ready for broken SX one and new chain
- Rockshox 35 Gold RL too tight stanchions
- Chainring nut tightening with correct tool
It's not so big thing to remove 4-bolt guard, 6-bolt motor and 4-5 electric connectors of the motor compared to space you get routing the rear cable. I would replace the gear cable at the same time, maybe the dropper also.
Caution: Do not loosen too much the battery's lower bracket. It's nearly...
Anyone found anything replacement parts (something else than OEM) for the Rail motor guard? The OEM is quite cheap so the problem is not real. Just curious if someone has found something else.
Mines heavily scratched and broken after one year. Thinking of buying new and maybe try to put some...
Remove the chain and check that the motor resistance feels reasonable. Shouldn't be much in GEN4.
If it's somehow speed dependent then it might be a real problem.

Any thoughts on my possible solution:

I would get protective shirt with good pads for local trails and on more serious downhill business you just put the...
Tested and will return. I think I was waiting something heavier. It could be good for trail riding. The design is quite nice though. The distance between elbow and shoulder pads was also just a bit too long and size smaller would have make the chest part too small I guess.
My "problem" is that...
Hayes Dominion A4 brakes
Hayes 203 D rotors
Hayes bleeding kit
Cane Creek Hellbender headset bearings
New DHR rear tire
Spareparts: NX cassette and GX derailleur
also 1 SRAM UDH and 2 GX B-bolts
I'm not saying that the problem doesn't exist, BUT I've removed the battery plates several times due to cable changes (dropper, gear and soon the brakes) and almost everytime the problem has been that I can't get the battery out.
I've always just simply looked that the key is in center of the...
What is the correct IFP pressure for Trek Rail 5 RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock?
Rockshox manual has this table:
Model
Pressure

400 psi
RT3
350 psi
NUDE/RLR; 2018 RL/RT
500 psi
2019 RL/RT
420 psi

The connectors are all different so it's not possible to connect them in a wrong way. Take a photo though how the wires are sorted out before removing everything.
Update: The reach adjustment screw loosened couple of times during a little downhill session. The bite is good with the EBC pads but the lack of adjustment in the lever doesn't suite for my needs.Too much hassle for me so I bought new brakes.
It could be that the spring between pads is too...
I would say that you have to have Drive Unit software version 1.1.5.0 or newer AND then the one who updates it, tells you that you have it. Tour+ is just one option among other things when you choose what version you update your bike.
There must be something fundamental that restricts to change...
Yes good question. It must be very dependent obviously on the terrain that you ride. If one has more flat = more eco = less battery. Will not be the case for all. This is the only case I can think that would use less energy.
Energy saving in EMBT vs EMTB Lite was clear but the logic is more simple.
This is interesting and will be shown only on long term testing. On the other hand it uses turbo that Lite or Tour doensn't use but on other hand it uses ECO that Tour or Lite doens't use.
Based on EMTB Lite and Tour+ I would say that you should try it before judging because I don't recognise...
