Looks like the kink in the ST is at the same height on all the bikes, so while the XL might be good, I think the M with a 65mm shorter distance to the kink might be struggling a bit?
Quite stingy droppers on them. I wonder if that is to save money and weight or because those are the longest that will fit? Insertion depth does look a bit limited by that relatively high ST kink...
Any good?
Are these sleeves? Are they the "reactive" (shear thickening) material?
I am a big fan of shin guards (at least when it isn't too hot), much more comfortable to wear full time than knee pads and shins take a lot of hits. I have several pairs of the G-Form ones but they start falling...
Companies are selling bikes at a huge loss to manage their inventory. The is no way that this is sustainable so yes they are reducing their forecasts to be "safe".
But to imply that there is a cartel and the big (or all) manufacturers are collaborating to artificially inflate prices is crazy.
DT Swiss do an alternative magnet that goes in the rim bed inside the tyre. It is partly secured by the valve but doesn't add much thickness I don't think but can also just be stuck on elsewhere round the rim.
It is the worst time to sell right now, whether new or used. Demand is pretty low and supply is through the roof. BUT this wont last forever. After the optimistic over-ordering during and immediately after Covid, brands, distros and shops have swung the other way and are now being super...
I think parking with the valves at the bottom may not be ideal, sealant will run around the rim and (depending on the shape of the end of the valve) may well hang around until you connect a pump or gauge and then a small amount come back out to clog the valve. I leave mine at any angle except...
You should add what weight the tyre casings are and whether MaxxTerra Or MaxxGrip.
From your description of how you ride and settings I am surprised you aren't running more volume spacers. If I ran that I'd blow out the damping very quickly. I ran full volume spacers and blew both dampers very...
If your definition of fun is powering up stuff then by all means; but the OP had ridden a Levo SL, liked the geometry and low weight and was looking for advice on bikes with those characteristics.
450mm chainstays are not going to be anything like as playful as the LevoSL, and that weight appears to be with EXO casing tyres so with decent tyres is going to wind up a fair bit heavier.
Those are very different bikes. If you really want the fun and pop of the Levo then that's what you should get, the Heckler is not going to match it. This is also what I like, and I also want to keep getting a reasonable workout without having to abandon my push-bike friends. The first gen Levo...
