Thanks for looking but for me that comes up as out of stock too (?). Interestingly though it does list it as suitable for either Levo Sl or Creo SL s so that suggests compatibility the other way too.
Yes, I need to get the long road version but then 175mm lets me cut to 150mm no problem, 25mm...
Drill and tap a new pedal thread 25mm nearer the BB and machine the end off in a nice curve.
The 160mm ones have been temporarily sold out for a year now so I have to try to work with what little is available. Also that would only be a 5mm decrease on the 165mm that came stock.
My levo SL (and my knees) could do with shorter aluminium cranks. Does anyone know if the Vado/Creo SL cranks are too different to the Levo SL ones to fit?
My plan is to buy 175mm Vado/Creo cranks and cut them down to 150mm (or thereabouts assuming this leaves a reasonable amount of material...
That sounds fine to me. If you are riding gently then not using all the travel is rather to be expected surely? If you still have plenty of travel left then surely your "aging body" will be somewhat cushioned if you want to try pushing on a little harder?
How is the fork? Are you using all the...
You can take the range extender battery (2 of them even) in the cabin with you. The limit is a maximum of 2 batteries of between 100Wh and 160Wh. Below 100Wh you can have as many as you like but they ALL need to be in your carry-on.
Given what Bosch and Shimano motors cost, and if the Pinion MGU is going to be priced around $1000 then these prices seem completely unreasonable by comparison. If on the other hand I could get a 1.2 motor and Mastermind TCU for around the $1000 mark I would probably jump straight on it, and I...
Specialized will transfer the warranty to new owners so maybe look for one that is still under 2 years old. Once the warranty runs out they have a sliding price scale for new motors so you wont be on the hook for the full cost.
My dealer also told me that if you are outside warranty they don't...
Weather isn't much of a worry anywhere in the UK at this time of year.
What sort of riding do you want?
Scotland and Wales probably have the most to offer in terms of bike park etc.
Don't bother with anywhere in the (south) East, all fairly flat.
If you put the tensioner in the middle of the chainstay (for example) then it can't take up much slack.
Gates are very vocal in their warnings about tension and tensioners etc but I'm sure something could be done at the rear hub or elsewhere.
Mahle/Specialized SL motor, Bosch SX, Fazua, TQ etc. All the low power motors without gearboxes manage to be a lot (like over a kg) lighter than the full power options. If the motor is less powerful then the gearing from that motor down to crank speed can be lighter (as it has to cope with less...
Is it more mechanical complexity though?
Typical system now is 12 sprockets, 100+ links of chain (each composed of 4 parts), rear derailleur comprising 2 inner and outer links pivoting on 2 pins between a top and bottom knuckle, the bottom knuckle housing a clutch and a spring, then inner and...
