I almost always wear through the back brake first as i'm a big scaredy cat but would prefer the rear to lock up than the front as it's easier to control. Front brake gets more use when things get steep.
Part of me would love a 2nd bike but the whole point of getting the ebike was to try and have one that would do the majority of what i wanted to do. Sure it would have been great to have a 170/180mm enduro style bike for uplift days but that's a very expensive thing just to have for a few times...
So now i've had it for around 3 months.
I love it, so much. I've started to look forward into things i might need to change and i can't wait for the weather to improve so i can take the rear mudhugger off. It fulfills a purpose but it does look dogs*%t. Finding i'm pushing myself a bit more...
Today was my longest ride to date with the bike. It included some messing around at sherwood pines and a local "secret" location. First time i've got to the end with a range of 0 left. Mix of conditions/elevation/modes to get a good work out but not suffer up the steepest hills.
My assumption was that it uses data from the trip computer and how much assistance you are using to calculate the range and that as you are not going off a fixed % of battery left the range is never going to be an exact figure unless you are riding at a steady speed on a constant gradient. It...
The battery comes out easily enough with a bit of a wiggle but i only bother taking it out when i am trying to work on the bike and still want to charge it. Putting it back in is a bit more annoying as the bolts never line up well.
Good thing i factored this "annoyance" in when choosing the...
This was the final resting place for mine. Being able to pedal in eco at 18/19mph is a game changer as it brings it back in line with my old normal mtb.
Parts of this thread resonate with me.
Back in my late teens (so 15+ years ago) i dabbled in a bit of DH/freeride in that i had a scott high octane FR but everything we rode was either natural trails or just cocking about in the city centre/uni campus. With hindsight i doubt a lot of what i did...
Not too dissimmilar to myself. lately with the weather being between 0-5 and quite wet i've just went with the following:
Hands: Evans (FWE) waterproof gloves, seem to be basically a ski glove with some padding/grip
Feet: My leather karrimor hiking boots as they keep out 99% of the water and...
it'll just get rammed into whatever crevice it'll fit in. Space seems to be at a premium with the whyte. i did manage to manipulate the cover off but it did get a bit damaged in the process.
Evans workshop reckoned it was pass through like the 160 you described but it doesn't appear to be that way.
I've ordered the tool as I don't fancy trying to wiggle the cover about
Hi guys, hoping for a bit of help as i don't want to waste time/money ordering the wrong bit.
In order to install the volspeed in this bike it seems like the crank arm has to come off to get the motor cover off. The cap is 8mm but the part after that is alien to me and i was hoping someone...
