Are you running DH or DD casings? After the initial installation I find it only a few more minutes manipulating to get the tyres off & on. That's with exo casings though.
Yeah I'd read that they give you the option of riding back out to the car. When I burped my tyre couldn't get it pumped up on the trail I rode for a few metres on my cushcores but then decided It's not worth risking damaging the rim. If my rim was broken like yours it would have been a...
Bad luck about the crash but with the amazing skills bike builders & alloy fabricators have I can't actually see that being a hard repair to do. I hope it gets sorted for you. May be time to upgrade to a full squish.
Speaking of crashes I just watched Gee Athertons crash on the knife edge video...
Totally agree with you on all fronts there. I saw that new screen & immediately thought I would have to buy a repacement one with the new bike.
I would have thought a better idea would be to have twin smaller batteries that joined together as my 2 hr rides only usually use up a couple of bars &...
I have found I use Tour + more than emtb now. I didn't think it would be something I'd be bothered with initially but it is actually quite good & I never used tour before anyway.
I found tour to be a bit useless in context really & only use turbo for the last blast up the hill to cram in a...
I'm in NZ & I very rarely get up to the 32kph limit. Unless you were commuting I can't see why it's an issue. All the mtbing I've done around the Sth Island is climbing long uphills & coming down them (usually shitting myself) reasonably hard under brakes. I can't really see where I'd be able to...
Do you mean like a slight kind of "grinding, growling or rubbing" sound from the motor - almost like the feel of a deraileur about to change? I have one that only happens when in low gears grinding up a hill - doesn't happen with the motor off or on the flat peddling. I took it to the LBS & the...
Yep that's a pretty fair comment. If I was updating in future from my rail I'd def go for something a bit more sleek looking. In saying that the Whyte does look quite 'busy' in the middle. Throw a dart at either of them I say & see which one it lands on.
Yes I'm scratching around for things to do while we're locked down. I took the motor guard off & had a look underneath but didn't adjust as the battery seems to sit ok but does move in & out a bit when pushed.
Found the motor guard cracked which was to be expected so put some epoxy on it.
I checked out my rattly battery yesterday - it would rattle when hitting the outer case even though it seemed reasonably solidly fixed in. I found 3 of the 4 screws at the top of the battery holfing it to the carriage had somehow vibrated out & disappeared. Replaced them with new & a bit of...
Are
Are you able to crank it up to full power if you wanted to go for a quick ride up somewhere short & steep or is it factory set so you can't change it?
I'm relatively new to the experience of carbon bars but love my one ups & doing the research before buying I did not see one piece of evidence or even opinion saying Ali bars were regarded as more flexible than carbon. In the search for trail comfort all the articles I read recommended swapping...
I think what the OP is saying is he knows what to do & does it but it just feels foreign. I guess after a certain amount of time it will become familiar however I think the difference is, on a moto entering the corner with a throttle controlling your speed & a foot out feels safer or reassuring...
