You may be confusing LSC & HSC. Low speed certainly does create a different feel but as Flatside says on the big drops is where HSC comes into play. You only really get HSC on high end forks
Yes I recommended one to my mate as best bang for buck & now a few of his mates have put orders down. $9K for E2 with zebs & X2. I'd def be looking at one.
Ahh ok so maybe that's why I had to take them into the shop.
I initally broke one spoke at the hub, wedged it into the rest of the spokes to carry on the ride, forgot about it then the derailleur snapped the next ride. I assumed I hit a rock but wonder now if the spoke got loose & caught in...
Yes interesting article. It doesn't sit right with my experience or style of riding though. My back wheel is constantly locked up with the slightest touch of the lever so I guess I'm over the front a bit more & the trails I ride never really allow me time to let off the brakes & build up any...
Phil what's the feedback on the bigger front disc? I was wondering as I negotiated a steep drop corner trying not to go over the bars whether a bit of brake fade might be a good thing?
Well that's the size spokes needed for my rail7 bontragers. I'm posting this in case anyone needs to go into a shop to buy one then get told to bring the wheel in - then get told 2 days later when the next spoke breaks to bring the wheel in ...again.
Also a good tip is if a spoke breaks tape the...
You suck etoni! Stop posting those pics or you'll end up with a tribe of frothing emtbers knocking on your door.
Is this your hoemtown or is it a tourist spot or both?
About the trails - do you drive up to them or ride from town & if so what elevation are they.
How long are your typical rides up...
I'd suggest that it comes down to 2 things - can you get away with cheap crappy tyres on your trails that you can wear out on the road & have no problem replacing every few months or if you need good quality tyres for your trails, are you happy spending that amount of money every few months...
I'm riding bro pads. I only got them cos they were on the shop counter & seen a few recommendations on FB (knowing NZ prob from their mates :) ). They seem alright - no better or worse than the usual. Actually in saying that prob not as noisy to bed in as the last set of sintered pads & they...
LBS here in NZ said yesterday the 0's sold out - arriving in Dec & taking deposits on the +1 arriving in Jan. We share the same importer. In this big chain shop there were no Emtbs left at all.
Why? What are you missing out on? EMTB+ is great & tour + is great. Both I find are excellently intuitive & make climbing seemless. I never used the old tour mode- just seemed redundant when you could have the machine working for you. I guess it's like being in your car & switching from your...
I too am a spinner & I haven't noticed the turbo kick in on tour+ even though it is supposed to be there. From what I've read maybe we have to give it a bit of welly to get it to kick in. I just keep it in tour then shift up to emtb if I know a pinch climb is coming.
I had this noise only really while climbing when turning or just after a tight turn - couldn't work it out. Turned out it was my rear wheel not tightened enough causing the wheel to move a small amount.
I upgraded my yari to lyrik spec & was a great change. That was just before Zebs & 38s came along & since then I've seen many nearly new 2nd hand lyriks or Fox 36s come onto the market place at much better value than what I would have spent. I would def be looking at the 2nd hand market for an...
Yes getting them sometimes is the problem. Always seem to be sold out over here. I was surprised to learn taht some riders prefer the poppiness of them over the damped feeling of the DH & DD. That lost co video on youtube about maxxis casings & grip etc is quite informative.
When most brands are trying to slim their emtbs to look as much like normal mtbs Yeti has decided to go the other way & make theirs look as much like a E-moto as they can.
