Funny you mention that
My mate has a 500 and 625 for his decathlon stilus - it was a nightmare to get the extender and it's basically just plastic and a few bolts
I'll see if I can borrow his spare battery and model one up! :D
Nice!
I was looking at those clips that hold the cable to the fork - they'd cost a few pence at most to make
Also making myself some clips tomorrow to clip the shifter and brake cables together - keep them tidy without using cable ties/tape
not sure I’d trust running that in PLA at speed. It might eat itself
I tend to keep away from speed derestriction as I just feel like it’ll knacker the motor quicker
Was gonna say I wouldn’t expect F1 style finish. It’ll be layered for strength over looks. None of the weave angles will match and I suspect the joins will look rough as a badgers arse
I started my career in 3d design and CAD before ending up in software engineering.
Needing a bit of a hobby for winter I’ve gotten back into it with 3D printing.
My first venture was to design a wall mount for my Bosch charger which I’m now selling on eBay...
What Steve said and whoa slow down.
you don’t want to increase travel without understanding what it will do to head angle and if you’ve only used the bike a few times definitely get used to it before blowing money on fox stuff.
I‘m 1200 miles in since March as my skill is definitely still the...
They updated Strava recently and it's now quite good at detecting ebike rides based on speed and stuff
After 90% of my rides it pops up saying "this looks like an e-bike ride would you like to change it?"
But on my gravel bike rides it doesn't
Quite clever
THIS IS FECKING GENIUS
I'm always a bit reluctant to clamp my carbon frame in the middle - but clamping the seatpost is sooooo shit, it always ends up nose down at a silly angle
I have the old bars from my gravel bike lying around - I'll tape them up and use them for this!
Just wanted to say thanks
They arrived this week - XXXL - they're, if anything, a bit loose but with the velcro done up are comfy.
Love the vents on the sides, really helped me not sweat to death.
The problem with bigger waist is the legs are an inch or two too long but with the zip up ankles...
My cube hardtail had the purion replaced for the exact same issue!
There's a video on youtube about it too. Power button fails. I think due to water getting in as my USB port died first, then the power button :(
I have a mercedes E class estate. Rear seats down and then in the boot have fitted a van fork mount so the bike sits upright when I'm driving around.
The roof constantly gets muddy rear tyre marks on. I think it adds character though :D
The problem with going "up" to XD is you then need to completely rebuild the wheel, new spokes and etc... then you need a new casette because the SX/NX sram stuff uses old shimano freehub, the GX and above uses XD
So you'll need hub, a LBS to rebuild the entire wheel, and a casette
Easily...
I didn’t mean to not answer. It just seemed like a weird problem.
I hold the bars at the stem with my left hand. Put the wheel in with my right. Sit it on the wheel then get the quick release and screw it in
Fox 34 forks with a boost quick release. 29” wheels.
I don’t find the weight an issue...
Owned the hardtail Reaction Hybrid Pro 625... now own a Stereo Hybrid HPS-SL 625
I can honestly say doing gravel/canal paths and a little road I'd use the hardtail
The full suspension is just wasted effort and extra weight.
I never really have a problem - I take my front wheel off to put the car in a stand in the boot
I just wheel the bike out - hold the bars with one hand and lift the wheel in with the other
