    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Well after a large full english breakfast, I decided not to waste the rest of Sunday pontificating, so I've stripped out the dock. I've attached a load of pictures to show the breakdown of it. As you can see the dock seems to be designed to collect water at the bottom where the pins are. Not the...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Only on level 1, not boost, but it was wet, so shorting due to water ingress could potentially cause that. I'm not get that error any more though. Although the system still doesn't work, only had a day to dry out so far though - thanks for the link to the document though, I'd not thought to look...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

My ride home yesterday was in torrential rain, took it slow but about 8 miles in got an error 27. Had to pedal unpowered for about 4 miles in the rain. I can't find any reference to error 27 in any documentation (isn't that always the way!). But to answer your question, I now have this...

    Dengfu E10 bash guard

If it's made of ABS you can make an ABS slurry with acetone and glue it together and it'll be as strong as it was before. Of course that isn't very strong, so we really need a better solution for this! Anyone know what it's made of?

Jury's still out on the tan walled tyres for me though, but frame color looks very nice.

Rear disc is 180 out of the box, don't think you can go smaller, but you can go bigger with adaptors

Do you mean the large plastic skidplate on the bottom of the motor? I've already broken one bolt hole on the plastic bit. I'm thinking of making something from kydex as some of the levo guys in the other forums have.

You're not the only one I have this problem too (first time I thought I'd not tightened it enough, but after re-tightening it still happened again). I check it every ride and it occasionally comes loose, I thought initially that backing out the nut on the drive side would help, and it did, but...

m600/500 are canbus so that software won't work (for BBSHD/01/02), checkout the bafang BESST tool and the info on endlesssphere for m600 programming. You can use a generic canbus device and software if you know what you're doing too by the looks of that thread. endless sphere m600 thread

    CHEEB V2 Build Thread

I've had one of those shocks and until it collided with my homemade battery mount and smashed the blue top off of the smaller chamber, it wasn't too bad, I mean not fox/rockshox level, but pretty solid for the price. (I stupidly made the mount out of aluminium that was too thin and it bent...

That's what I figured, I can imagine if it was lower I suppose it could have been a drain hole.

Anyone know what this hole is for in the battery cover, noticed it while cleaning?

I had the same issue, but I'd forgotten to change the crown race (the one from previous bike was still on). A quick swap to the dengfu one and all was good. I used the existing star nut too, as I'm want to fit a garmin top cap for my computer.

I just made the spreadsheet to illustrate a point. The BBS motors have completely user programmable levels and the array of settings that the selected level points is for 9 levels. This saves space on the controller and makes the logic easier. It's a pity that the M series don't or maybe the way...

I think what patdam is trying to say is if you increase the number of levels, the difference between 0 and 1 should be reduced. Now this is how it works on a lot of e-bike drives, you can think about it like having more gears and the ratio between them gets smaller. This spreadsheet assumes that...

Nuke Proof EVO on one bike (were about £30) and some Deity Compounds (about £35), that I got with another bike . Both are plastic/resin type ones but with metal bolts for grip. Both pretty similar and have taken several hits with only cosmetic damage. I'd also budget for some decent flat pedal...

What kind of chainstay protection is everyone using for this frame. I assume it doesn't come with any?

27th of February, all seems a bit random, some people getting frames before batteries and vice/versa. Annoyingly I could work around not having a battery by building one myself, but building a frame isn't currently in my skillset ;-)

840Wh Battery arrived today, received notification via email a week before that the job had been created from DTDC and then got notification that it was out for delivery from DPD (UK). Beforehand, I thought it might be the frame, but there was no info as to where it was from or what it was in...
