I just did mine, mainly because spending ~£90 to replace the broken purion seemed pointless. But i wanted the more precise battery % and wanted to get a better idea of how much power i was putting into the rides relative to the motor to try and use it as a fitness tool over winter.
on a 625wh battery (bosch) i managed 5 full top to bottom runs and three climbs from about half way down (end of sixtapod & melted welly). Threw battery on charge over lunch and got 31% back which got me another 2+1/2 and my body was dead before the battery was.
I was mostly using tour+ and had...
There's little to zero chance i'll ever clear that run. I'm just not comfortable on jumps that big. And the Vanta line that is in progress is even bigger. ? I'm just setting my expectations a bit more realistic. Next time i will clear most of the red routes.
Ok so this is a long one and I don't expect anyone to watch it all....
However it is part of the closure I needed after my last trip to bike park Wales and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
my friends went FoD today after bike park wales yeterday and reviews seemed positive. I'll have to plan a day down there. I was in no fit state to be riding
there's a line? i'd probably just have to look towards the bottom and hold on. ? When i get my bike up to aberdeen when visiting family i'm going to at least try lochnagar if i can't make it as far as aviemore/cairngorms.
It isn't an all rounder, it's just too gravity focused for the more tame trails. However i believe in the approach of buy the bike for the riding that you WANT to do and then just make do for everything else. It's all a compromise and i'm willing to put up with the bike making sherwood pines red...
Update: i'm back home and fully alive, my knees took a hammering from all the climbing. ?

Some of the features would be nice to have, namely finally being able to tailor the power modes, but the battery just being longer means bringing the centre of gravity further up along with adding extra weight. As it stands the 625 is fine for all my rides to date. I guess we'll see how this...
Go pro hero 9 black. Mounted to a chin mount.
I've got it set to 2.7k superwide as I found it have the best field of view.
Guy went otb as he clipped an angled rock that turned his wheel, also didnt go in with enough speed.
Another weekend, another video.
Today's weekend ride was finding some of the steeper stuff around ladybower. I know i'm slow as all of this was new to me. The return to bike park wales comes next week but i'm certainly not hitting up the big jumps this time. :)
I've got fed up trying to do...
