I'd take most offence at the ginger :D the beard does tend to be but the rest isn't.
i'd happily take something along the lines of: barking mad / stick it to the man / Rock 'n roll
The late sunsets were nice, especially on a night out, those days are long gone :D
I get hassle from one guy at work about road biking being safer, but like with not having (being allowed) a motorbike it just takes 1 idiot in a car and you could be gone in an instant, i'd rather be the fool...
I might try to nip along with a dog to say hi. Unfortunately i'm unable to ride but i would love to see some of what you had planned. would someone like to borrow a gopro? ?
have they opened any more of the car park yet? won't be much space by 10am.
Quite the opposite, the extra camera flying off mid accident makes for much better content. :D
The original idea was to have me at the front with one of the cameras facing backwards but that was for later in the day. I record all my rides so i have a record of what i got up to, i'm not trying...
I think it is inherent in the celtic culture to rely on self depricating humour to get through all the bleak winters. :D One thing i don't miss down here are all the dark wet days of aberdeen.
sharing it everywhere as i have nothing better to do and some people don't venture into other threads. no shame. i'm trying to get better at this video malarky
On a smaller jump i would actively try to 'jump' it but these i was told to just go over as they are sculpted to not really do much, in the video there's a jump almost identical to the crash one that i get over fine.
In terms of tiredness i was fine, the uplift gave recovery time after each...
Pretty much that, i tried not to overthink it but i just forsaw a legion of people with theories coming at me. It certainly won't stop me doing it again.
I didn't feel comfortable on the bike that day, i should have known better but i'd travelled too far to not try :)
Hello all, i figured i would give this it's own thread as things didn't quite go as i had planned and there is a lot of fragmented content regarding this over the site.
Before this all happened i was going to be using an ebike pedal pass but one of the other four guys managed to fall off at...
the original plan was to have a cider at lunch and spend some time on this section working our way along it jump at a time, but when i veto'd doing the black run dai hard they decided to go down the a470 and well... we know what happened there.
It wasn't until i went through a few frames for the thumbnail that i even noticed the stick, so it had to be the one :D Must have been a subconscious thing with the dogs normally about.
Ride what you enjoy, as long as it is legal don't worry about what anyone else thinks. I do all sorts of riding an enjoy each of them for what they offer, but there's no time to be wasted beyond that telling anyone else what to do.
Grips - DMR brendog deathgrips in the softer compound
Pedals - DMR V11 as i expected them to get battered (they have) so wanted a pedal that would lose a bit of material before they sent me OTB with a strike, i plan to go for vaults next
Bars - renthal fatbar lite, only because i wanted to drop...
i hope that answered your question. :D
From what i can see there are a few things i need to look at:
1) practice off camber/hip jumps to get used to positioning myself and the bike for the landing
2) make sure my suspension is set up correctly and not having the rebound too fast
3) go faster...
