Preparing for winter, even though it’s only the middle of August!

5:10 Trailcross GTX shoes, and Sealskinz heated gloves. Both pretty fugly, but should keep my extremities dry and warm on cold wet days.

I bought a set of Trailcross GTX as well but they are too narrow. I went half a size up too. Ho hum, back they go for an exchange.

I bought half a size up and a full size up.
I’ve been wearing them round the house tonight - and have decided the full size up are the ones I need.

These are my 3rd pair of 5:10’s so far - and I think I’ve got them all in a full size bigger than my regular shoes.

It’s been a busy week….I need to stop reading this forum.

A pair of 5:10 GTX for Winter…..(vs non-GTX). I am a 9.5-10 so bought 10.5 and they are fine with thick socks. £105 with discount code - thanks.

After another muddy ride in the Chilterns, and being frustrated with myself for having zero memory when it comes to map reading (literally checking my pocketed iphone mapping app every 5-10 minutes), I've ordered a bolt-on Mudhugger EVO front fender thing and a Quadlock bar mount for my phone.

Yes, I'll need to remove the fender each time I put it in the car, but a small price to pay for having a mouthful of mud and grit.

And yes, I may well bugger the camera on my iPhone 12 Pro Max...but hopefully not.

I've bought mine a BMW 5 series Touring (Estate) car to get it to the trails and back in speed and comfort.:) Nothing is too much for my Orbea Wild FS H20. I also recently replaced the Purion with a Kiox.
Mine's getting one too! It is getting cold and wet on the back of my 5 saloon! :ROFLMAO:

Spare SRAM NX cassette just ordered, trying to find an NX 12 speed chain to go with it but not even bikester or Mantel in Europe have them.

I wish those things had existed when my daughter was a toddler.

Quite a clever piece of kit. I had to swap a 10mm spacer on my headset with their one - and apart from that, it can be put on / off the bike in about a minute.

Perfect timing of the ‘Pro’ version which is suitable for eMTB… as it just got released last month, and my boy was just 2 a couple of weeks ago.
Next task is pinning him down long enough to get his helmet fitted correctly ??
