I had a similar problem on a different branded dropper - all it required was unscrewing the collar and putting some grease around the bottom of the post. Worth a try?

Slightly unusual approach but I had a similar issue, so I just siliconed around the problem area and that solved the issue! You could try this around the valve - clearly just need to be careful not to silicone over the air hole.
