Droppers are interesting - it is amazing how much the lever has an impact on performance. On my last bike, I bought the cheapest dropper I could find (SDG) which had a supplied lever. Total garbage and I thought I wasted my money by being cheap. Ended up trying to redeem myself by putting a...
A few weeks ago I put on the Michelin e-wild 29 front and 27.5 rear on my YT Decoy Shred. They are on Nobl TR41 carbon wheels with cushcore installed both front and back.
I have had a couple of rides with the e-wilds and I have to say I am totally impressed. Things are still thawing here in...
Could it be that water got into either the switch or the display, creating a fault? Or water got into the connections on the display unit? Strange it comes on but won't charge. Also, will it charge if it is off the bike?
I recently bought the Smith Mainline and it is the best helmet I have owned. It fits snug, feels very secure, but is super comfotable. Wasn't cheap, but as the breadwinner in the family I need to protect as much as I can. Like you I learned that a full-face is the way to go for me. Shit...
Just an update on this. - works great and holds the bike securely. I like it way better than clamping to the seatpost. Just make sure at the handlebars that no cables are underneath the crossbar. P.S. Ignore the messy garage ;)
Yeah a LOT more fat bikes out there this year - I was talking to guys at the bike store yesterday and they said they sold more fat bikes than they ever have. And they are making a lot of money on the $200+ per tire to get studs.
Totally agree on the the workout - I think people think it is...
Welcome fellow Canadian (I'm from Calgary). I have an acoustic Fat Bike and totally agree - it requires a lot of energy to keep that sucker moving through the snow. Never thought about an eFat but now you have me thinking ;) .
I am with you on this - I stuck to it but the problem is I have a number of bubbles that does not look great (mine was RideWrap but same thing) - just went too quick and the results show.
Oh well, at one point some dirt and mud will hopefully take the focus off of those bubbles.

Yeah I was thinking that as well - perhaps the rims do make a difference? Not sure.
@leftside awesome you were able to get them on. I admit I gave up rather early :coffee: .
I am impressed how sturdy the eWilds are - they seem really well made and durable. I was actually thinking that with...
I picked up a Smith Mainline. This thing feels amazing. Like a lot of the comments, the clasp seems like it is going to be a bit annoying, but I have been practicing putting it on and off while watching a movie with my wife (who rolls her eyes at me) and it is getting easier every time.
Tried to install Cushcore on the new rims and with the new tires today. Started working on the front and said F-IT, I'll pay to have these installed. Rather give the guys at my local MTB service shop the $80 to do it, and let them wreck their hands (and hopefully not the rims and tires). Man...
Right sorry forgot you mentioned you ran cushcore in an earlier post! Can't wait. I plan to keep these rims for awhile and the lifetime warranty was a deciding factor - full replacement if they break while riding (only pay shipping costs). I have not told my wife how much these cost
That's awesome - the red decals look amazing on the site. I'll tell you what, actually holding the wheels it is amazing how good they feel - super sturdy but wickedly light. I can't wait to install them Are you going to run cushcore or another insert with the E-Wilds?
A few things came in today:
Michelin E-Wild 27 and 29 tires for the YT Decoy mullet set up
Nobl TR41 mullet wheelset with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs - I had Nobls on my last bike (non-ebike) and I loved how they felt so splurged on these.
Smith Mainline Helmet and Goggles
