Best brake pads for Shimano XT BR-M8120

I've had good results with Galfer also. However, I have just bought new EBC pads for my Magura MT5s and they have been outstanding. Super fast bed in, noticeable improvement in power and lasting really well.

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

Highly recommend a trip to the Tweed Valley. So many places to ride, lots of places to stay and we've got the uplift too! I'd be happy to do some guiding too, I only request a post ride beer!

    Best EMTB fork?.

As others have said, all the forks you mention will be good. I've had great experiences with Lyrik Ultimate and certainly haven't ever felt they were flexy. They can be had for decent money and are easy to set up. The Decoy came with a 38 Performance. I was initially sceptical but it's proved...

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

This was the mast stage of the EWS when it was here last year. An amazing and very long (for UK) trail.

Decoy Uncaged 9 170mm Rear Travel?

Can't be the shock as the length and stroke are the same. I think either the linkage is different or it's a typo, or it was 170 all along!

Where are you riding this weekend?

Despite Trailforks showing some as closed, I think everything on the bottom half of the hill is running. Not sure about the top half, although I believe Bricktop is ok. Definitely enough running to make it worth the visit.

Where are you riding this weekend?

Thornilee on Sat (better get the big boy pants on) and then a big Golfie loop Sunday. These will both be on the manual bike! I might ride the eeb tomorrow after work.

Problem with Fox DHX2 Coil shock

Seems to suggest, that like mine you only get LSR and LSC.

Problem with Fox DHX2 Coil shock

I cannot say for sure why, but this is similar to my YT Decoy. Even though the shock is classed as a Performance Elite, which should have high and low speed compression, I can only adjust the low speed. I assume this is a cost saving measure from YT and that various other manufactures likely...

    Bloody SRAM bleeding?

My experience with Codes is that the bleed process is extremely easy and clean, but the results can be unexpectedly variable. By that I mean, they feel good after the initial bleed, but then after one ride, or maybe a week, or even two or three, the lever will start pulling to the bar again and...

    Van internal bike transportation

Mine were bolted down by fork mount. This was so I could get them low enough to build a fixed bed above. Worked great. This was in large camper van though, designed for long trips to Europe etc.

    Brake science

Absolutely fair point. However, I think it matters more if you are riding steep trails, where having to use less force on the lever makes a big difference to confidence and hand fatigue. On my local trails, difference in brake performance becomes extremely noticeable across something like a...
