Yeah, very hopeful it's something simple like this. LBS suggested similar and also that the sensor at rear wheel might need moved slightly. Performance of the motor was superb otherwise so fingers crossed it's just a minor glitch.
+Ive - super easy to ride and very fast, fork felt great, brakes were great once fully bed in. Superb traction from motor even on slippery and steep climbs. Rides like a much lighter bike. I would say suspension set up is about 85% there.
-ive - assistance periodically cut out for reasons...
Thanks all! Tried to spend money in sensible places. The Marzocchi Bomber was recommended by my local bike shop and no need for a climb switch etc on this. Will get out tomorrow. I am going to try really hard to do some actual suspension setup, but we'll see!
I test rode one and would definitely agree it doesn't feel heavy to ride. In fact it felt much snappier than the decoy I was riding before which is a good bit lighter.
I have a 38 factory on my regular bike and it is great, but I always got on well with lyric ultimate so I'm hoping the new...
My medium e160s arrives at the shop today or tomorrow. They are going to test with a small fidlock to see if it fits. Mine will be running a Marzoccchi Bomber Coil, so will have a piggy back in the way.
Looks great! Mine should arrive today or tomorrow. I've gone E160s, black like yours. I wanted MX, but there were only 29ers left in black/medium. Whyte inform me it's just a case of changing the flip chip and I have plenty of wheels. I've gone with the charger 3 for the fork, a marzocchi...
Depends what you want. My ebike miles are on my own, usually after work. My local climb is an hour on a normal bike. With the eeb I want to bang out as many laps as possible in a short time frame, so full fat makes more sense. I've ridden a Levo SL a fair bit. Great bike, but just too slow...
They look sensible enough in terms of suspension design and components. However, a look at the site shows a geometry chart that does not include reach, head angle or seat angle. This would not fill me with confidence that this is a bike designed for hard riding.
If you need to use more than one finger ever, then IMO your brakes are not good enough for the terrain you ride. It should not require lots of hand strength either.
What brakes do you run?
From my personal experience:
Code R - to the bin
Code RSC - Very, very good performance. It is totally possible to get a rock hard bite on RSCs, but only if you bleed regularly (maybe too regularly) and clean / lube the pistons. Feel and power is superb. and the adjustments actually do...
I would never go e only. I want the hard work and I want the social aspect of riding with friends (none of mine ride e bikes). I love the way my Privateer rides too (now with coil!).
