At the risk of sounding extremely dense, I am not totally sure how to tell what setting I am in. If the brass tab is visible at the front end, does that mean I am in the high position?
Ok. looked at some photos. It's because it has a yolk / shock extender thing. If I had checked that first it would have been obvious! I'll get back in my box now.
This is shock bushing, which is what I would expect to see on any shock mount that is not a bearing. I have no idea about the spesh, so I can't say if this is right or not. Definitely won't require a dremmel, will likely push out by hand. If not, then use a suitably sized socket and vice...
I like the PNW bars too. Have also got on really well with the gen 1 horizon carbon bars on my Privateer. A higher rise bar is probably the only other thing I'd like to do with the new Whyte.
I would highly recommend the galfer (the thick ones) discs. They have been superb and very reasonable compared to the HS2. Both my HS2 were bent from new!
My e160 also rattles a bit. It's not bothering as it doesn't sound bad so I'm assuming it's just the motor. Cannot overstate how much I am loving this bike. I am already close to or faster than I am on my Privateer.
I test rode every bike I liked that my local shops could sell me. I really didn't want to buy an ebike online. In the end I just bought the one I liked the most on demo. I'm lucky that there are a lot of bike shops around where I live!
No but in that case you'd likely have both wheels off which would make things easier. I clamp by frame in that case. As long as you're careful I think it's incredibly unlikely you'd damage the frame.
