I have a 170 mm lyrik on it right now. When I first made the switch the front end felt too high, but I put a 50mm stem on it and dropped the bars a bit to get more weight on the front. Big improvement. I also have a 2021 air spring sitting in my room that I can install for another slight...
After owning the 29 for 2 months I can confidently say that I regret getting this model over the mullet version. I ride steep/gnarly terrain, and wish I had the longer travel bike with more dh oriented geo. Still not a fan of the wider plus tire in the rear, but in all other aspects that looks...
I raced TransBC last year. We drove right through Revy on our way to the race (started at Panorama bike park) and didn’t even have time to get a ride in unfortunately.
Anyone ever run a 230x57.5mm shock? Obviously not ideal, but wondering if it will make a noticeable difference. Got a super deluxe coil to test out and a few different springs. Hoping the 500lb mrp progressive spring will work nice.
Here is how I did it without any of the proper tools.
first I used a screwdriver to get slight movement out of the crown race. Then I used the park tool brake pad spreader and a hammer and slowly worked my way around until it was able to pull free. I then removed most of the needle bearings...
Anyone replace this headset cover that looks like a volcano? I want to drop my bars when I add a larger fork to the bike, but not sure what top covers will be compatible.
Thanks,
I cannot speak on behalf of the YT battery, but for specialized their 500 and 700 batteries use a different cell makeup. The one used in the 700 is in high demand as its used in a lot of cars, and thus even specialized cannot get 700s in stock right now. Covid played a huge role with supply...
Well, finally got my 2021 fox 38 I was wanting. But I ended up putting it on my Enduro instead. Now my decoy will get the takeoff lyrik. Trying to decide if I should leave it at 170, or swap the airspring to 160 for the decoy 29.
I would just get another 540wh. If I’m doing a 2 battery ride, I’m most likely going to be conserving battery.
You only doing 30 minute rides?
I can run a battery dry on boost in 1.5 hours.
Just because it says “out of stock” doesn’t mean it actually is. I had two different friends order one a few weeks ago, and at the time both their size/model they ordered was out of stock for 2 months. Both got their bikes within 4 days. This was in the US.
Get a oneup. You should be able to get more length out of it and it already seems like you were happy with their post in the past.
Also it is kinda YT’s fault that they designed their bike with such a long seat tube by today’s standards. Or it’s you fault for having short legs.
