Not defending it too hard as I’m not a fan of Intense in general. But other than looks what don’t you like about it?
weight is good.
price/spec is good.
suspension design is good.
battery is super portable so you can carry one in a backpack unlike many bikes, which is good.
I know two people...
Thank You!!!
I didn’t think I needed to bring up an instruction manual to install a fender. But I guess sometime you have to be smarter than the product if you are not going to read the instructions.
Yes, but check this out. When I rode up at high elevation both times the bleeder valves leaked oil residue from in between where the fork mounts and the bolt. For some reason with the fox fender I could not get it to seal properly with the stock o-ring. May try cutting away the lower leg...
Are all these your bikes?!? You can single handily keep a specialized retailer in business with purchases like that. lol
I have a 38 on my enduro and love it. Yes it is heavier, but it also feels better than any air fork I have used before.
Not too sure honestly. The Intense Tazer is 46lbs and comes spec’d with nice parts for a reasonable price. Other than that, I haven’t done too much research. Just counting down the days until the Commencal is released.
Agreed. But having an ebike that is the same power and battery size, but 10lbs lighter than mine is very appealing.
Obviously that won’t be the new commencal, but will have to see if the price and specs of that bike are good enough to outweigh (literally) the weight difference of few other...
Not a fan of that fender. It offers no protection to the fork seals and sanctions from dirt and debris.
Here is the new fox one I have, but it has issues of leaking from the bleeder port connections when I go ride it above 8k’ elevation.
Lol, yep. I am very fortunate I have a nice lineup of bikes. And it wasn’t really a bad experience because I had a friends decoy to help narrow down what was broken. Without his bike, it would have been much more difficult.
I’m between 5’11” and 6’ and I got an XL decoy 29. I kinda wish I went large. Actually I wish I went with the mullet to get more travel and a shorter rear end.
51mm offset fork is not necessary these days with how slack bikes are coming stock. I don’t know if that would be a deal breaker for me, but definitely not desirable.
Weight is a slight concern for me as well. My Decoy 29 weighs 56 lbs after I got it all built up, and my friend has a Tazer that weighs 46 lbs and it feels like a huge difference.
Got my cable from Amazon yesterday. And today the warranty replacement cable came from YT.
I know other people in other parts of the world have struggled with YT service, but they have been nothing but great for me on all 3 occasions I needed something.
If they release an ebike version of this (Which I still believe is the most likely possibility) I will be a customer. If it’s the same exact bike with the new motor/battery, not sure I will pull the trigger.
