I ride close to home, i do not have a car. Many trails are great with snow but in summer i mostly see people walking or jogging with dogs.
The first thing i do is put bigger tires on. A high bike is a jeep it deals with rocks in my opinion. The low bikes are for road.
I love high, big tires...
I am a tall skinny guy, 64 YO and i am simply sharing my opinion.
If i enjoy my 53 pounds FS Ebike anyone can.
I loved a lighter HT 3 years ago but i love this one.
I am a distance person no power and absolutely no power upper body power.
Ebikes just ride better for us light weights, the...
I am new in the 29+. After lots of reading i bought 2 DHF 29x3.0. I just put one on the rear and i like it.
It climbs like i like. Ask around, maybe in your area 2 DHF are appreciated. I am in quebec, Canada.
I read about Maxxis wobbles. It kind of sounded like the tires are shipped fine.
They are very delicate so if too much force is used to mount them they will wobble.
I kind of agree with you. No magical bike does a thing. They rest. Fitness means different things to different people.
I am pretty sure regularity is a key.
After an injury i have been riding daily, ok 98% of the last 80 days. Sure i am no pro, not an athlete but
those 3-4 hrs of pedaling made...
I suggest you go all in.
Invest in a soft rag.
Send money to charity.
This is my opinion but less washing, less liquid is the best.
Save money, ride more.
I just wipe off the excess and lube.
From what i read the battery might be a problem.
Maybe like us here in Quebec you can sell for a good price and
buy something you will trust. In june i got 3,800$ for my 2020 Giant/Yamaha Stance E+.
11 months earlier it costs me 4,000$.
Good luck !
You asked the wrong guy.
*** a bike with so much suspension travel *** is just
a very limited tool. Maybe if you spent more time on the saddle
you could appreciate a shorter wheelbase.
Spend 5 years around 130/120 and your question will be answered.
Many choose easy trails but i ride in places...
The most frequent solutions for transmission are rarely mentioned.
Loose weight and or learn to shift.
3 chains is normal before a cassette needs replacement.
Obviously, hills, your weight and your skills can improve or shorten chain life.
On my Ebike i have no problem on a 10S 11/46, plenty of...
This in my opinion is a nice rainy day question.
My usual answer is ride more.
Just take 30 minutes on a bikes forum.
Most bikes are begging for an upgrade from their average rider.
You might get what you look for with a different PSI
You might get what you are looking for from different tires...
Here i am just going to express my opinion.
Your question is irrelevant.
In july 2020 i bought a Giant/Yamaha Stance E+. Without a car i rode it daily rain, snow, whatever.
11 months later i sold it 3,800$ and i paid 4,000$ so for 200$ and a tiny bit of maintenance i had close
to 330 days on a...
To the OP, maybe i missed it but do you have a problem?
I am pretty sure your bike works, you pedal and it moves forward?
Are you fussing about tiny details?
My Ebike was sold on 29x2.4.
Now i ride it 29x2.8 front, 29x3.0 rear.
I did not ask permission, i am not doing anything illegal.
Well here in Quebec used bike prices are high because of delays in delivery. I ordered the 2022 Stance E+2
so in august i should have wider rims, a new fresh battery and months of fun.
Good luck. Here in Quebec some received their fatbike after 14 months of delays. They ordered in december 2020 with an expected delivery in sept 2021 but they just received them and many parts were lower value than expected. Check it before paying. May the riders god be with you.
I am offering my point of view because you wrote you are a beginner. You probably paid about 4,400$ if you add 2,000$ in upgrades it will still have less value than the Intrigue with a 625Wh. You could have got one for 5,800$.
