This bike is an all trail vs. an XC and the geometry keeps you from flying over the handlebars for steeper down hills. I really enjoy it and am not afraid of any rollable drop with it.
I really like my XL and I am 6’1.5” with relatively short legs and a longer upper body… I like the fact that there is something out in front of me especially when doing bigger drops…
59, Florida and North Carolina, Orbea Rise M10, wife has the M-Team, have never taken the time to take pictures so much but I want to be like Dave 80 when I grow up! I still occasionally ride my analog Specialized hard tail in the flats of Florida.
Orbea gave me them as my wife’s bike was suppose to come with carbon cranks but the e13 versions were failing so she had aluminum ones.. the Shimano cranks were their replacement solution
On my wife M-Team when they swapped the cranks from e-13 to Shimano the lbs left a washer in that prevented the crank from free spinning backwards… the Shimano cranks did not need it and when I took it out the cranks would freely spin backwards… wander if you have something similar?
I charge my battery in the hotel room all the time… most hotels, especially where people ride, have no problem letting you bring your baby, I mean bike:) in the room.
My wife has an M-Team and I have an M10 and we have now had them more than a year… I ride mine at least twice a week and all our vacations since COVID’s have been mtb trips in the mountains… I ride the Pinhoti Mtns. Especially Bear Creek a lot and the only problem I have every had is Ripping...
I currently lock mine in my camper but have been looking at ways to keep them locked on my rack inside a big bag so people cannot see what kind of bikes are there. The problem with a really nice bag is that people will conclude there are really nice bikes in the bag… looking for a bag that is...
I purchased my wife’s Rise M Team from Jensen as it was the only place I could get one in a reasonable timeframe and I saved 700 dollars in tax… I would have bought local as I did purchase my M10 through an LBS
I am a software developer by trade and I guess that Shimano does not spend much time testing and dealing with all the possibilities on how a firmware update could be interrupted for the RS version compared to standard based on population of motors… as mentioned before, do everything you can to...
I have the same bike, M10 XL and on flat it is faster off than in first level of assistance and only come in to play when on an incline. I will go off power assist sometimes and get drag but it is because I have collected moss or pine needles in either the gears or the hubs.
