Just like cars… if you like your bike keep maintaining it… I self maintain for almost everything so it makes it cheaper that way for sure.
There is always aftermarket for batteries btw.
If you find a great deal on a new one and can afford to keep both then do that too! If the market ever gets...
The dealer I purchased my M10 from is no longer an Orbea dealer but I live too far away anyway... I looked up on Orbea' website who my local dealer was and went to them when the crank arm shaft on the motor broke off. As my bike was registered with orbea and they were a dealer it was smooth...
I had very good response from Orbea when my crank arm shaft broke off… total down time was less than a month and maybe it was 3 weeks. That was with my LBS which was not where I purchased the bike as well. And warranty pets were shipping directly from Orbea in Spain to me in the US as a part of...
My wife and I have been riding our Rise' for almost 1.5 years an average of 2 times a week... We have just moved our eco and trail up a bit and I never go into boost and spend 90% in eco while my wife spends 90% of her time in trail riding with me. I tend to run in an easer gear at a higher...
Both my wife and I have Rise’ but hers is the M-Team and mine is the M10… we ride together on mostly blue and some black trails and she runs in trail or boost while I ride in eco or trail and she stays with me very good. She is even starting to catch some air on some of the table tops… as we...
Your points might be valid, is the price that much different? If you are talking a few hundred dollars I would go with the newer… Shimano had some problems with their spindles in 21 (from personal experience) that I hope they fixed by 22..
I sold my Kona Process 153 when I got my Rise M10 because they were almost the same weight and geometry… that was a little over a year ago but my wife kept her bike (Canyon Lux, 23 lbs. XC) and has a Rise M-Team so very different… I just bought a Norco Fluid and used a bunch of parts I took off...

Hey Rod, I am very much a do it yourself person and have all the tools accept the bottom bracket wrenches. As I own two of these bikes I am going to buy those too… The LBS are nice people but very tight… I purchased a Norco Fluid from them when I learned the motor was cover and I could not...
I agree with you that it is a win for sure, but the bike is in use for a little over a year and breaks and you spend this kind of money you expect to be taken care of.. you should not have to worry about it. One of the reasons I posted this follow up so that if it happens to someone else they...
Update:
My bike is ready… Orbea warranted the motor and the cranks but really cheaped out on the labor at $15 dollars… the LBS charged me $100 in labor so 85 out the door…
