Here's a very nice route around Balmacara in the Scottish Highlands. It's just before you get to the Skye Bridge. Very scenic. Enjoy a bit of escapism....
Must be one of the best descents in the UK. This was an amazing ride, where I was completely outgunned by 3 fit guys on normally aspirated bikes. Just shows that technique is often more valuable than power.
This is the Achnashellach "Tea Hut Loop" with an extra bit tacked on for good measure...
Just re-read. You want to know about imperfections of the Fenix.
Garmin’s terminology is really confusing. You have routes, tracks, and courses. On a Garmin handheld GPS, you have a track, but on the watch its a course (I think). In fact I have no idea. Why they make this so confusing is a...
I have a Fenix 6x. Very good.
It takes a bit of getting used to, but is very impressive once you do. Battery life is 15 days or so for me. It doesn’t have an OLED touch screen, but it does have properly responsive physical buttons that you can use with gloves, which is a win.
You can get the...
SL XL ally with EXT Storia coil shock.
Range extender does not fit.
I bought a Wolf Tooth B-Rad water bottle shifter which moved the bottle cage to the right, and the range extender now fits.
Right - challenge accepted :-). Maybe not tomorrow though as I’m going fishing in the Sligachan river.
There’s a cracking route from Elgol to Bonnie Prince Charlie’s cave which looks sweet. A video of the Quirang route is coming when I get a chance to get back up there. It’s a bit of a hairy...
I use a Fenix 6 Pro and the app “Ebike Field Nerd Style“ which you can find in the Garmin store. This app can read the bike’s power, battery, cadence etc directly using ANT+, so you don’t need the Specialized app.
Bit of a thread resurrection, but this does seem to be the main thread for Ohlins RXF 36 setup.
I’ve got an M.2 coil on my Levo SL at 160mm and 44mm offset. It came with a 65lb spring which according to TFTuned should have been about right for my weight (96kg kitted up). But it was wayyy to...
My SL shock bolt worked loose soon after I had bought it. Luckily it was noticed by my LBS while I was asking about some other bling farkles. I imagine had I left it, it would have sheared in the same way.
Now I check my shock bolt regularly.
I’m on an Ohlins RXF 36 M.2 coil. It is a significant improvement over the 34 stock fork. I haven’t compared it to a high spec air fork though. I run a coil on the back too. I like the “set it and forget it” nature of coils, but I just need to figure out how to set it hahaha.
Also...Looks like the bike is on the floor so some compression is taking place. If you lift the bike up and take the load off the rear wheel you might get a different reading.
675 sounds about right. 700 might work too. You can run a higher rate spring with the Cascade link. I am a couple of kg less than you and run a 700 on an EXT Storia shock with a Cascade link and it’s epically good. I’m on 27% sag with that setup which suits me.
Factorio.
A ridiculously involving game that seems so innocuous but drags you in to your doom. Free to play demo game. No in-game purchases. Very intelligent modeling. Well worth a look, but watch out for issues with time dilation and OCD.
