There may be upgrades in the new firmware. Like the current Shimano 4.3 firmware upgrade for the EP801 and EP600.
Also. You may want to add a new device, like an electronic shifter. And that new device may require the motor to have the latest firmware.
Also. There are often bug fixes. Now...
Oh BTW. Unless Shimano do bring out a 12 speed Linkglide cassette. I have decided I'll live without Autoshift. The Manual shifting whilst coasting is the automatic feature I use the most. I also use Freeshift when on a cruisy ride. But when I'm attacking terrain. I prefer to select the gears...
150mm EP8 Miranda crank, just fitted to my EP6. Powder coating looks fantastic. As someone who has worked in the stamped Aluminium Industry. These are really well made, nice cranks. I watched the video on their manufacturing.
No rock strikes. Average cadence up 6rpm. Heartrate spent much more...
The data is in. 150mm cranks looks to have had a positive impact on my riding. My cadence and heartrate is up. I spent a lot more time in Zone 3 and Zone 4.
And an extra bonus. No pedal strikes at all. I'll be sticking with the 150mm cranks.
The Dengfu bike would be a great allrounder. Though quite a slack geometry. So more targeted for downhill. But being an E-bike, will XC just fine.
This is a good starting point. You would have very quickly out-grown the other bike.
It depends on many variables.
Here's the Shimano compatibility table.

Agree. The bike isn't going to downhill easily with that geometry.
I made that mistake with my first MTB. I thought I wouldn't do much downhill. So I got an XC bike. Invariably you start doing downhill, and the slacker geometry bikes, just give you so much more confidence. And I changed to an...
Head Angle and Seat Tube Angle are XC geometry. So 4 pot XT brakes will be just fine.
All looks good. Fork and Shock can be upgraded later. But are perfectly adequate.
Maxxix Rekon are XC tyres. So maybe an upgrade here is justified. It really depends on what sort of XC trails you'll be riding...
Take the cover off the motor where all the connections are, and clean it thoroughly. Then clean the ports with contact cleaner, and some water dispersant.
Same for the display.
The Shimano EP801 has just been given the 2 metre overrun feature. But backpedaling does immediately stop it. So the technique to use it multiple times whilst flat pedalling and pulsing the pedals, is to only back pedal after nearly 2 metres, and pulse it again.
Would require some practice, so...
The Mondraker is the best looking.
But the Cannondale is very light for a full power EMTB, and with the EP801, can be easily upgraded to Di2 Shifting, which will give you Autoshift and Freeshift.
Also the EP801 has just had a firmware upgrade giving it the the fully programmable overrun...
If all your drivetrain is Shimano. Stick to HG and Shimano. HG will accept the 11 speed Linkglide 11-50T cassette or Hyperglide+ 11-51T cassette, if you want to upgrade cassette, derailleur and shifter later.
If it's a SRAM drivetrain. Then if you want to stick with SRAM. Then XD hub gives you...
Just don't store it at 100%, and it will suffer very little degradation. Store at 50 to 80% and only charge to full, just before you want to use it.
50-60% is the sweet spot for storage. But it's not always possible to get it down to 50%. Plus it allows for a little leakage, in the months it's...
People don't like change. They feel like they are missing out when others change and they do not. They also feel that they might become part of the minority, rather than the majority. It makes them feel unsafe.
EMTBs are also significantly more expensive to own and maintain, so some people may...
