Here's a couple of pics of the Norco. Check the lush paintwork. Sparkly.

Only thing is there's not many reviews of it and the few there are say it's akin to a monster truck whilst the other enduro are 4x4s. Meaning it's heavy and not as nimble as the others.

What are your thoughts?

You can tell by the travel alone that it’s a downhill oriented bike, not the thing to buy if you’re mostly going to be doing fairly tame trails.

It will definitely smash through some stuff, which is ideal for me. I’m generally riding faster EVERYWHERE on my ebike, so even flatland can be like downhill - so IMO the traditional thinking on longer travel doesn’t always apply to e-bikes. Give me 160mm or more and a bike that turns slightly easier than my YZ250, as I’m pretty much a trail terror.
If you’re never gonna ride over a rock or log, then maybe skip this bike. Otherwise, suspension can be adjusted for flatter vs chunkier terrain.

That's what I wad thinking, even though it's sik, it's a bit ott and a specialist bike. Not really an all rounder or suited to a beginner.

But then again can't you limit/lock some of these shocks for the flats?

Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing. Almost seemed a little too cheap.
Definitely not a scam or stolen. Has all the receipts and invoices and is 30min drive away from me so can see the bike in person. But I doubt he'll accept £3k with all those components upgraded.

I just did some reading on it and it’s not as expensive of a bike as I thought, they’re probably asking about 40% of what they paid so the price seems more reasonable now that I see more.

Re NORCO : 63 degree head angle, 460mm chainstay and big wheel base, is leaning towards downhill, rather than enduro. But it's a nice bike.

I really like my Decoy, but the DVO suspenion on the Norco is nice, it's what my bikes usually end up with. The 900 wh battery too, if you accept the weight penalty on an already heavy bike.

Cheers.

This thread is wild, OP has changed his mind so many times and gone so many directions, while somehow being so sure of himself at every step. I just wonder have you tried emtbs at all or just looked online, maybe go try one in real life and go from there.

The whole point of this thread is to make sure I'm putting my money in the right place and there's been a wide consensus that it would be safer to opt for a used emtb from one of the main bike manufacturers for similar price.

I've taken that onboard and shifted to that option. Nothing wild about that.

Do you reckon this bike would be the first step to get you out there
And if you do catch the bug for a better bike would you move on from the first one
If so I would buy a used bike make sure I'm happy and want to continue
I noticed a few times on here people selling new bike a couple of months old
