At 5’10” the L with a Fox Transfer is likely to be spot on. The XL Pro Race could be a fine line depending on how you set up the bike for your leg on a full stretch.
It’s not the grip or sealant it’s the casing. They have had suffered from pinch flats, punctures, tears around treads and nibbles that are shredded. Haven’t had one 27.5 x 2.8/3.0 last more than 500 miles before it was tubed due to being damaged and un-sealable.
Latest one did 100 miles and...
Yep, I have never had a problem with the 29er up front or any DHR up to 2.6 on my regular bike, I’m a big fan! But 2.8/3.0 on the rear of an ebike......I’ve killed 3 in a year.
Must just be me.
I ordered some Eddy’s the day my bike arrived, the Minions are weak! This one lasted 100 miles, previous bike ate 2 in the first 500 miles. They were 3.0 and 2.8’s, rips, punctures, snakebites, torn nobbles. Just not up to the ebike weight and lower pressures. Good grip though. How are the 2.6’s...
I’d avoid the Minions, at least in a 2.8 or 3.0. I’ve destroyed 3 (OE on the bikes) they just tear and puncture real easy. Eddy’s! All day long and cheaper ????
@dobbyhasfriends are you on the Facebook YT Industries page ? Loads of comments and some pics of the YT UK facility in Guildford.
That’s where I got first class service from, they are just hampered with a formal launch right now. Contractors on fit out and keeping staff safe is obviously going...
Slight issue with the launch party would be the Covid19 restrictions ?
Plenty out there about where it it’s located. We just have to wait until lockdown is undone I guess and then when we are allowed to congregate in a room with a load of strangers all will be well. So 2021 then?
I’ve ridden over 1000 miles with the Decoy, the battery is really not that big a concern, you just need to have some idea about how far you want to ride, then you can decide how carefree you want to be with Boost.
I can typically do 2-3 rides a week on a single charge, 15-20 miles average/ride...
Neale - just take a look at YT’s website around Warranty, click a little and you’ll be able to read what YT say, I’d take their word on it rather than anything we might all type on a forum.
Then send them a message, give them details of the bike even, you might find exactly what you are...
Mike
There is a YT UK operation opening in Guildford. The team behind it are superb and know what they are doing. There’s obviously some disruption to opening and launch due to the current Global situation, but they have the team coming together. They liaise with their man back in Germany and...
