    Rise rear travel

yes. The only way to accomplish this is to buy a custom, marzocchi bomber cr / fox vanilla that is 210 with a custom 57 - 60mm stroke. The other way to accomplish this is to use a 8.5x2.5 shock, and use 2 (2mm) offset bushings in order to shrink it down to 212x63. this will raise your bottom...

Rise - Check your Pivot Bearings

I just wanted to post here to remind people to check your pivot bearings. I trashed the rear, split pivot, bearings at about 800 miles and now my second set is trashed at 1,900 miles. The main pivot bearings are also now trashed at just under 2k miles. The only ones that weren't trashed at...

Free Chain Stay - Orbea Rise M20 - Size Large Frame

Rod, if no one ends up needing it, I would take it from you. My chainstay is already pretty hammered and I've been wondering if it's a part I'm going to break. Definitely should go to some one who needs, but if that person doesn't exist, I'd be a happy caretaker.

Shimano Brake Center Lock Rotor Hack - Converting a RT-MT800 into a RT-EM810 magnetic rotor

I just jb welded a magnet onto my rotors. I did consider going down this road but since I swap wheelsets between a few bikes, epoxy and magnets was more economical.

CHARGING E-MBT BIKES "IN THE FIELD" expensive solutions.

I use a bluetti eb70s, and 200w of solar. I charge the bikes off of the eb70s when parked and I re-charge teh bluetti with the solar panels. When moving, I charge the eb70s through 12v dc feed from the vehicle and I charge the two ebikes utilizing a 1000w pure sign wave inverter that is...

    New 2023 Rise..

The 2022 M Series and prior does have a slimmer downtube as the battery is slimmer. The H-series and new M series do have a larger downtube for the different batteries that are used in those bikes that have slightly different specific density and cell shape.

    Orbea Rise sizing

6'2" here on an XL. The XL is a biiiiig bike. It doesn't ride as large as it is if that makes any sense... but there are times where I notice the reach/stack/seattube/standover when compared to my other bikes that are similar in size (2019 XL Megatower) that ride smaller. Those extra 5-7mm...

    New 2023 Rise..

M was the carbon series and H the aluminum series. Both frames are essentially identical as far as geometry goes and ride pretty much exactly the same. The H (2022 for both bikes) series frame is supposedly heavier... but I bet that it's damn near the same as well as the H series is ~1kg...

    New 2023 Rise..

My hunch is that they are just claiming that due to the fea they have done on upper linkage in a vacuum. They eliminated the through bolt fastener from the clevis to the rocker link. It also seems like they may have changed the rocker link from a 2 side isis drive attachment of the arms to more...

    New 2023 Rise..

my guess is none of it is compatible as the 801 is using can bus protocols.

    TQ HPR50 Grinding Noise

you're both right, but semantics are creating the gap. Anti-seize is technically classified as a grease, but really it's not quite the same in that regard. From my anecdotal experience, anti-seize does not seem to cause torque inaccuracies the same way that a moly, petroleum or synthetic...

2023 Pivot Shuttle SL - Super Light

My LBS has a size Large team xtr in stock that I got to pedal around the parking lot. I also weighed it without pedals and it came in at 40lbs on the nose without pedals. I realize this isn't new info in this thread, but I find the weight a bit of a let down as I would be immediately adding...

    Shimano EP801 is coming

The clanking is more terrain dependent then anything. Choppy, rocky terrain with square edge hits will make the motor's sprang clutch clank.

    All New 2023 Orbea Wild

Removable batteries are the biggest source of issues on ebikes at most local bike shops. My local bike shop spends more time trying to get the battery contacts lined up properly once wear and tear sets in then any other single issue on emtbs (this is true for all brands that have a removable...

Orbea Rise 2021 model vs 2022

FWIW, I typically buy the cheapest bike I can get with the suspension that I want and the best quality frame. I purchased an m20 myself... mostly because that was in stock. However, I was able to sell most of the parts off of my oem build and basically build myself an m10 and I ended up coming...

Orbea Rise M vs. H stiffness and durability

Agreed that I have owned bikes with more and less flex. Some had flex that was detrimental to the ride quality of the frame/bike and others it had no impact and potentially made the bike easier to ride. I own a giant trance 29 advanced as my marathon xc race bike and that has quite a bit of...

    orbea rise carbon 2023: news

As a former RC racing addict (from the 90s era and then through to current, nicad - nimh - lipo) I have to say that I find it some what offensive that a charger for a 7-12k bike is such a piece of @#$^. How is it possible that the charger isn't at 200-400 piece of hardware that provides...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

axs + shimano chain and cassette is the way. Wireless shifting consistency with better hand ergonomics with shimano cassette replacement costs and better shifting under load. I am a sram zealot... but the sramano setup is amazing on an ebike.

Orbea Rise M vs. H stiffness and durability

I have an M series rise and my riding buddy has an h series. There is no difference with regards to durability between the two in the 4k kilometers that we have on our bikes. I weigh 85kg and he weighs 90kg and are both advanced, aggressive riders. I have ridden his bike around a bit and he...
