Will it be repairable by the user and Shimano will sell internal parts spares?

I hope they got rid of the rattle. Although its weird that the Scott Ransom Eride that my sister got is almost rattle free. But most other EP8-bikes seem to be horribly noisy.

I have 2 bikes with the EP8. I can say that I have never experienced this rattle everyone talks about. Mine seem buttery smooth and quiet. My hearing isn't the best so maybe that helps.

My experience too, almost. Only one EP8 motor, but I can only hear the slight rattle under certain circumstances. I have had comments from other riders ("e" and non "e") about how quiet it is. My hearing too is not the best, reduced perception at certain frequencies.

The clanking is more terrain dependent then anything. Choppy, rocky terrain with square edge hits will make the motor's sprang clutch clank.

"Sprang" has quite a nice sound to it, shame it's already in use for something else.
