Talked to a US dealer and they said they have the Reign E "MX" on order with no other info other than colors (black and green)....so I'm not sure if there will be an additional MX spec coming, or if the MX is just older naming convention....still nothing on the US site so we will see what will...
I've done both 10mm longer travel and the 1.5 degree WC headset ...the headset made the biggest difference, really noticable...doing it again I'd go with 2 degree. I'm in Colorado with some pretty steep trails...The bike goes down steep stuff with so much more confidence now.

I've run Bib Mousse (all foam insert no air) in my Enduro dirtbike for flat protection, and like the dead/planted feel so I get where your coming from. If you don't care about weight on the ebike it's not a crazy idea. Ride what you like.
