I prefer Rockshock forks over Fox forks for big guys. My Fox factory forks tend to make a loud “clack” sound during aggressive descents. My several Rockshocks do not. Zeb I believe is the best fork out there for bigger guys.
Niner is a good brand. I had two custom built for my wife and myself. They’re both Niner Rip 9 RDO. They’re both analog. My wife’s was $4500 since it was built on a “new” 2017 frame. Mine is 2021 and was $10k. Yup… no motor. Because of the pandemic… I could only source top of the line...
I’m 6’2” and 230. I bought a Trek and Specialized and upgraded both forks to a boxxer and a Zeb. I say it’s a must for big guys. I had the Brose 1.3 motor and the Bosch CX Gen 2. I thought they were comparable in power and both had 500wh ‘ish battery and both lasted about the same… 2 + hours...
I could not agree more. I set my pressure to factory recommendation on my new Fox Factory 36. I set rebound to factory recommendations and set my HSC and LSC wide open. Not too harsh but not as plush as my Zeb ultimate or Lyric Ultimate. It does feel solid and trail feedback is nice.

I have both a carbon and aluminum Ebike. I like my carbon bike not because of weight. I like it because of stiffness over aluminum. My aluminum Kenevo frame creaks. My carbon trek does not.
I started with a RS Yari with motion control damper. Bought another Ebike with Yari with original Charger damper. I used both bikes with both Yaris for 6 months. Big improvement in small bump sensitivity on the Yari with original Charger...Overall not a bad fork. Replaced the fork on the...
What’s your fork offset? How high is your tire pressure? I have cushcore on my trek Powerfly with 27.5 2.8 black diamond butcher tires. I don’t think the cushcores will help. Which fork ? Your fork setup maybe?
It’s happening everywhere and affects all bikes. I found a bike builder to build my wife’s bike and is currently finding parts to build mine. Sometimes the builder buys the part and sometimes I do based on who can find the part. Also, we’ve found the premium parts are easier to find. Such as...
I bought an iPhone and Apple Watch in tokyo, Japan. I was surprised it was the exact same price in Arizona. Probably not price fixing..... just a coincidence. Maybe the same Apple Watch and iPhone is cheaper in London.
