Most companies are like people, living month to month or year to year, if they are lucky. And, you have to remember, the owner is taking a majority of the profits. I’d be willing to bet, even though the company is suffering, the owners bank account is very healthy.
The riding in Souther California is amazing. The weather is almost always good. I’m in the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks/Newbury park area. I’m a quarter mile from a trail head connector that takes me into The Santa Monica National Recreation Area. Going south you can ride to the beach and back...
13 days in now and I’m doing pretty good. I didn’t go see my Dr. until last Monday, a week after it happened. She prescribed me Lidocaine patches for the pain. Baclofen, a muscle relaxer and Ibuprofen. She asked me if I wanted an injection for pain and I said no. I’ve had 4 surgeries and I’ve...
It’s only a Dr. visit, some X-rays and three prescriptions. So, it should cost my insurance company very little. My Dr. asked me if I wanted a referral to an ortho. I said no at the time. But, I’ve been reading that displaced ribs can be difficult to heal. So, I’m going to call her Monday...
Yeah, 5. Honestly, I thought I just tore the muscles between my ribs. It happened last Monday, on New Year’s Day. I went this morning for X-rays. I’ve been riding mountain bikes since the late ‘80s and raced pro MX in my 20s and 30s. I’ve had my nose completely reconstructed from an MX accident...
Set it at 1/3 sag. The EXes are very unbalanced to the front. So run the shock with a lot of sag and run the fork on the small end of the sag spectrum with more compression than normal. You may even try 35% sag in the shock. But honestly, you should be more worried about how the shock feels then...
This isn’t true with today’s battery technology. You can take them to 0% and it doesn’t hurt them. In fact some companies recommend fully discharging the battery on the first use.
So, after reading this, I discussed this subject with a family member that works high up for a large company that makes Ebikes. His response to me was, that they have spent a lot of time and money researching, just selling frames. Their conclusion was, that Ebikes are like the breaking point for...
Also, that’s going to eat up more battery power. Again, you’d be better off buying a bike that suits your needs better, instead of asking Trek to modify a bike to suit your needs.
I completely disagree. If for whatever reason you need more assistance than this bike provides, there are dozens of other bikes that will suit your needs and give you more battery life. Upping the assistance of the TQ motor would definitely put it outside of what it is capable of doing. This...
My setup for my 9.7 is a Marzocchi coil kit in the Fox Rhythm 36. I’m 180 pounds ready to ride and installed the firm green spring with 7 clicks of preload, set at 160mm of travel, and rebound set at 5 clicks out. I run the compression knob on the top of the right leg at about the 1:00 position...
That has nothing to do with not bedding in the pads properly. If anything, not bedding in the pads properly will glaze the pads over, they’ll become harder, last longer, but provide no breaking power and squeal like a MFer.
