Some valid points, right there!
I for one appreciate that competition in the light weight emtb market.
Don’t forget about the price tag. Seems like a hefty pile of dollars you’ve put into your bike. Specialized has gone mental on the pricing. Let’s just hope the competition helps.
We’re lucky...
I wouldn’t say “right” parts if you remove the dropper ? -too big of a sacrifice. I would rather ride a hard tail with a dropper than a fs without one!
I think it really depends on your riding style and terrain. I have the kenevo and have only a short ride on a SL. The kenevo is for sure a very capable rig, very stable and forgiving. Still, I really miss the nimble handling of my lung bike when riding it on my local trails ( steep, technical...
A bit less, I would say... I would rather have some annoying noise than a motor I cannot thrust. The robustness of the EP8 still needs to be verified though :)
If you find pictures of the two in the same size, they would even be more similar. In the the side by side here the Orbea is L or XL and the SL is S or M. The The L/XL SL has a noticeable kink in the top tube...
You are fully entitled to think I am biased, I really don’t mind?
I do care about the ROI (quality, feel and fun) of my investment, and everybody knows that Spesh is a bit pricy.
I simply got a better deal for the M10 (only 350$ more than the SL alu comp). And that is what I needed to concider...
The LBS/national distributor got my MiO order and the bike should come out of the stock they preordered from Orbea with a estimated delivery February/March.
custom colors and burlier tires.
I have both on preorder, but I am canceling the SL comp alu over a Rise M10. I’ve only tested the SL and liked it, but the offering of the Rise was just too damn tempting. For almost the same money (preorder price both) I get full carbon frame over Aluminum , Fox36 Factory grip2 over 34 Rhythm...
So, does this problem require a motor swap? or could it be solved by changing sensors or other electronics? I don't thrust the commitment of my LBS. The bike has been in 5-6 times for different issues, but no motor swap to date.
Is the motor run a common problem? And is it for sure related to the firmware update? I would have guessed it was a sensor issue.
When it runs I can go for 20-30 seconds on my 2020 Kenevo without any pedal input (if pointing slightly uphill, it stops when going downhill).
