I just had a broken brake hose on the stock SRAM Code R rear brake. It seems like it has broken near the entrance of the rear triangle/chain stay.
Should there be a plastic protector covering the sharp edges of the entrance?
This should be covered by the warranty, right? 10 months old 2020 Comp
Mcharza, do you have any updates on how it rides with the Wild Enduro 2.4? This could be my preferred tire (I have it on my analog enduro bike).
Issues with the clearance? steering precision still good? I have a syncros fender on my Z1, which I think is pretty flush to the fork brace, so I...
You guys are in for a thrill!
I have been riding my S3 a lot lately, and it is awzm. I have thrown in a Vorsprung Smashpot upgrade on the Z1 and the bike feels so planted and stable. Super nice!
A few people mistake a rim strip for rim tape. Not the same. Most wheel suppliers do not add tape at the factory, only a rim strip to cover the spoke holes. Guess you are good?
Have you played with the flip-chip? The HA is pretty slack mulleted, right?
One of the drawbacks with the stock bike is the BB height, I think. I have so many pedal strikes and numerous hits of the battery cover on my local trails. Rocky/rooty terrain...
So it is tempting to mullet, flip or both.
I have had my eeb for six months and the novelty of being motorized has faded. That said, I like to extend my rides and ride areas to look for cool trails with my e-bike. I feel it is less time wasted doing reconnaissance with the extra power. I Still do about 70-80% pure leg power... more...
I am not sure how helpful this is, but my 2 cents;
I am 5.8’’ on a S3 and it feels spot on. Haven’t tested a S4 so no comparison.
At our height I am a bit afraid the S4 wheel base is too much and the S3 feels plenty stable and planted.
I would even like to testride the S2 at my height to feel...
If you can stretch the budget to the Smashpot I am sure you will have plenty margin and more fine tune of weight. The kit is more refined as well. Would have been cool to see a side by side comparison of these two...
It is the damper/assembly that fails on the CR, not the spring. The Z1 has as you know the execelent grip damper and it remains the same after replacing the air spring with a coil. I have no experience with the Marzocchi conversion kit, but I have a Smashpot in my Z1. Very reliable and longer...
Check the motor bolts. I had a high frekvency (but low) ticking/creaking noice from my 2020 Kenevo. Two out of six motor bolt were a bit loose. Disappeared when thigthened.
