...and you call them out by not buying it. Will everyone else? Judging by the interest on here, no. The S-Works is especially bad value for money, choose a Comp Carbon and upgrade. That’s likely the thing that will change their pricing decisions too.
As it happens I agree these are insane...
From the reports I’ve read the noise beds in after a little while and isn’t noticeable. I’m willing to bet it’s no noisier than the Shimano motor once bedded in. I don’t find the Shimano motor that loud but others do.
I didn’t say it follows inflation, however it follows the trend in bike prices (especially Specialized, mtb or emtb).
Like I say, your prices are cheap over there compared to us and if you don’t like it why post about it all the time (and in a thread about motor noise too!)? Get over it and buy...
The Brose 2.1 is 4x ‘you’, the SL’s motor is 2x ‘you’. According to this page (which Specialized don’t seem to have updated for the 2.1, let alone the SL motor) the 1.3 is 3.2x you (320%).

Come on man this is a luxury bike and we’re all very privileged to afford any kind of ebike at all in the grand scheme of things. It is not a human right.
Specialized, like brands in other industries (cough, Apple, cough) have established their brand to the point their customers value the package of unique design, product presentation, support etc that they provide. Like discussions of why people choose Apple when one can buy an alternative they...
Please support a local business. If you don’t these small towns will end up looking like any usual high street and the local economy/community is ruined.
Don’t necessarily need to do that (Apple to pineapples comparison? :) ). SL Comp Carbon 18.1kg (large, no pedals, tubeless) £6k, Levo S-Works £10k - what’s that 2.5-3kg difference at nearly half the price?
The pics on the website don’t do it justice then. I’m guessing it’s more of a dark matte finish and less “sweet wrapper”. Would be good to see pics when it arrives. ??
I was originally drawn in to buying an ebike by the Levo. I rode and liked the ride and even had a deposit down. However I then tried an Orange eMTB (64 degree head angle, longer reach, 27.5”, shorter CS) and the bike felt so much better to me. Some of this was that a Levo medium is smaller than...
Welcome to the forum.
This thread has some tips on discounts but just as importantly have a good read. There’s some good info in the thread too that might help.
