There’s a thread here:
SL vs Levo motor noise levels - EMTB Forums
I think it’s a complete non-issue from my admittedly short ride. First time the bike had been out too.
I’m asking you, and others in this thread, to treat this with the caution that is needed. This is serious - it’s not just another flu.
The evidence so far suggests that many will get this and it’s milder but more contagious than SARS, for example, but for those that do get it and are weakened...
I love the little brake chirrup noises he makes when surveying each section. You can just feel the vibe he has from vids like this. Such a class trials rider.
Tell me it‘s about ‘sweet FA‘ when it takes someone you love (like your mum or dad, or even your partner). I think your pragmatic thinking is fine though to protect others even if you’re fine. Let’s think collectively, life is not always all about the individual. Something we forget these days.
No alloy rear triangle on the non S-Works either. If you wanted to build your own bike that was lighter and more suited to you than the S-Works the Comp Carbon is the sweet spot to me not the Expert. A lot of places do 10% on accessories as part of a full price ebike. That would help build a...
Nice build.
I must admit after short test ride of the Comp Carbon SL on Sunday the SRAM kit (and other finishing parts) felt cheap compared to my current Shimano/Hope equipped bike. Until Specialized sell a frame/motor then the CC is the best option to build the bike it should be.
Some ignorance of the facts in this thread. Please arm yourself with information from reputable sources. “I’ve heard” doesn’t cut it I’m afraid.

Just watched this. I would say all opinions should be taken with a pinch of salt. There’s clearly some suspension setting issues (not even tune issues) that could have changed these guy‘s feeling for the bikes. I’m not an expert on this stuff but that much was obvious.
For me, that terrain...
I’ve read reviews of the non-ebike 34 Rhythm and they’re pretty complementary. It’s meant to be pretty close the factory/elite unless you’re a real tinkerer with settings. How many SL owners will genuinely be able to get more from a better fork?
Had a ride on an SL this afternoon. Noise levels are probably comparable or slightly less than the Shimano E8000. This is a bike that hasn’t worn in yet. I know we’ve yet to determine if that’s something that happens but noise has reported to go down after a run in period for some folk. Can...
