sounds like a great idea, but as others have said, would need to use the existing battery as all bikes use different battery size/shape/connectors. It would also be good if it was just a plug and play swap, using the same connectors/controllers so that we wouldn't have to replace all sensors etc.
I've put a Formula MOD on mine and I love it. So supple and supportive. Gives lots of pop when needed, but the main thing that improves the ride and control is the way the rear tracks the ground, just so planted.
The SRAMs can be a pain, but you need to be patient. Once you have done the first bit (pulling on the syringe at each end), close the bleed port at the rear and then compress and then extend the syringe at the lever end. You will get a lot of air out of it and I mean a lot, keep going with the...
I don't believe it will. The crank arms connect directly to the motor rather than having an axle running through a bottom bracket. Shimano uses a 24mm axle and DUB uses a larger one, ~29mm I believe?....but don't take my word for it as I don't have an EP8
Has anyone updated the firmware to the latest that was released earlier this month? Looks like they're trying to match Bosch with Tour+ with dynamic power across the 3 programs. Just wondering if it works as it says or if its just marketing BS.
Firmware update STEPS MTB - SHIMANO STEPS...
I'd go for the MT500. It has pockets, pit zips, a hood and feels more substantial than the Gore. It's also more generously cut which suits eMTBers better (not saying eMTBers are fat, but we tend not to wear skin tight lycra (in public)), allowing for multiple layers to be worn underneath. The...
I've got both the Gore and MT500. I like the lightness of the Gore but it's lack of pit zips lets it down (I get very hot and sweaty) and I feel like I'm a boil in the bag chicken. The MT500 is thicker but the pit zips are great. As long as I don't have them undone too far I stay very dry. Both...
Quite possibly. It was incredibly wet and I managed around 30 miles that day but my brakes were dead by the end of the day and I needed the pistons replaced
Having had the shock sat in my garage for a few months, I finally got round to fitting it. First ride out...wow, transformed the bike. The X2 isn't a bad shock, but the MOD is in a different league! The bike feels so planted and the travel feels bottomless. Its super plush and even on a heavy...
I've had the BikeYoke Revive on my old bike, lovely post, never had an issue with it, but same can be said for the Fox as well. I currently have them on 2 bikes and have not had any issues (touch wood). I do like the fact that everything on the BY is user serviceable without needing specialist...
I'd go shred. It's not just XT, but the other components are better too, wheels, bars, stem, shock etc.
I really don't think you'll notice a difference between E8000 and EP8
what is the actual problem? The bolts have thread locker on them so after you have loosened it they will still rotate, you'll have to hold the allen key to undo it. I wouldn't recommend using a torque wrench to undo bolts either.
2x XTR M9120 brake levers ready for my Shigura upgrade
a £48 water bottle and cage...but it is called a Thirstmaster so must be worth it :-)
New brake pads
A stamp to send my POS brakes off to SRAM to get them fixed
Quick question, do you need to drop the motor to replace the brake hoses on the Decoy? I’ve got to send my brakes off due to sticking pistons but I don’t want to send my bike off, I’ll just swap the brakes from my analog bike, but want to know if I can do it without dropping the motor.
If I have...
