Well it wasn't the chain after all. Changed that this morning, still clicking in the same weird way, in the same gear as before. Any other suggestions?

Very true - I have a 100% European or even UK viewpoint. Any bike, electric or not can go anywhere because of the limits on the class 1 bikes and of course distances are smaller. I commute to work every day for example :) The number of people in an urban compared to 'countryside' environment...

I suspect the chain is damaged or stretched and it’s causing something g to sleep (video in the general forum). Even if it turns out to be something else, I’ll have a spare. Ordered a sram pcx1 From Amazon today :) cheers!

I don’t think anything is future proof, that’s the cost we pay for cutting edge technology. All the bike standards we have on clockwork bikes apply to ebikes, you just have motors and batteries to add to the mix. As ebikes get more integrated, like regenerative brakes and fully integrated...

Well I appreciate that but I’m more keen on learning than just getting someone to fix it for me. The chain is the original chain, 600k on the bike, bike had a 6 week check up from new 2 weeks ago and checked out fine, I’ve got a chain wear tool but haven’t tried it yet (never used one before)...

Think of explaining that to a child who just about knows that a bike has two wheels and a chain!! B tension is totally new to me, it’s a turbo Levo if that makes any difference.
