So I found the problem, shows how easy even an expert lbs can miss things. The cassette is worn on about a third of the teeth on that gear, hence intermittent and weird.
Got a guy at work to follow me up and down the street and we clocked it in the end.
New cassette bought. Now I need to...
Our batteries are just laptop cells. That Specialized, for example, have the cheek to charge 700 for a new one beggars belief.
As the market gets bigger more and more third parties will produce replacements and clones.
Even now with some electronics know how you could replace or even upgrade...
Ah I understand, getting better video is a bit difficult whilst riding! Thanks for the help.
I can totally play with the cable tensioner as well, didn't;t know if that would have any effect on the gears when I'm _not_ shifting though. But can still give it a poke and see
I dropped by the lbs this morning and they said they could have a look but not until the end of the month so I'm going to have a pop at it myself.
Lots of B screw videos on you tube so I'll have a look at those and see what I can change. Also some on mech alignment.
Oh and yes it's only in the...
Well it wasn't the chain after all. Changed that this morning, still clicking in the same weird way, in the same gear as before. Any other suggestions?
Very true - I have a 100% European or even UK viewpoint. Any bike, electric or not can go anywhere because of the limits on the class 1 bikes and of course distances are smaller. I commute to work every day for example :)
The number of people in an urban compared to 'countryside' environment...
I suspect the chain is damaged or stretched and it’s causing something g to sleep (video in the general forum). Even if it turns out to be something else, I’ll have a spare.
Ordered a sram pcx1 From Amazon today :) cheers!
Stats look pretty niche to me!

My market share numbers are almost pulled out of my ass but are still my best guess. If you have other ideas share them! ?
Sweet - thanks both. I'll dig the chain tool out tonight and give it a poke, then if that's it I'll just buy a new one and see what happens. I suppose I might as well buy a new one now anyway and have it in hand for when I need it eventually!
Start Monday off with a big thread right?
Technology:
Regenerative brakes
Integrated power, navigation and control, and lighting systems
Socially
Ebikes become far more acceptable as a much wider and more diverse set of riders realise they can engage with something they were oreviously...
I don’t think anything is future proof, that’s the cost we pay for cutting edge technology.
All the bike standards we have on clockwork bikes apply to ebikes, you just have motors and batteries to add to the mix.
As ebikes get more integrated, like regenerative brakes and fully integrated...
Well I appreciate that but I’m more keen on learning than just getting someone to fix it for me.
The chain is the original chain, 600k on the bike, bike had a 6 week check up from new 2 weeks ago and checked out fine, I’ve got a chain wear tool but haven’t tried it yet (never used one before)...
Think of explaining that to a child who just about knows that a bike has two wheels and a chain!!
B tension is totally new to me, it’s a turbo Levo if that makes any difference.
