I got charged £20 by Skenes in Cardiff.
Some shops do it for free (according to this forum)....
It takes less than 5 minutes. £75 sounds like a p!$$ take. I felt a tad done with £20 if the stories of a lot of places doing it for free were true.
The stock grips aren't so bad. I'll wait until they get destroyed (they bear the brunt of most of my offs) and probably pop some deathgrips on... decent and not expensive.
Those Revolution grips look pretty mad. Do they really do all they claim to do?
Attached the wrong pic there. Here you can see 30mm above the seat post and a 30mm collar/seal on the command post. 60mm above the seat post total.
The one-up dropper looks like it has a far thinner collar/seal as well. Hopefully looking to gain 40-50mm of further saddle drop.
Would...
Thanks for the feedback. Good to know in the servicing front, I like to try and do as much home servicing on the bike and components as possible.
I currently have 30mm above the seat post with the Command Post and want to drop that completely.
Squamish Sucks - that's the info I am looking for.
Hey Team, I'm considering opting for a longer travel dropper for my large 19 levo expert.
I have the 160mm post and it's raised another 30mm out of the seat post. I could comfortably raise another 10-20mm... so to me there is potential to get that seat a further 30mil out of the way.... and...
That was a great read, thanks for taking the time to post.
I recently did a thorough service on my 19 expert and now I don't class it as thorough any more!
I did headset, cleaned and greased pivot bearings, lower leg and air spring service, shock aircan service and clean out of the motor...
Ouch Mate! Very Nasty!
Glad to hear that for the main you are OK. As already mentioned, take your rehab super seriously and really invest in it if you are aiming to get back on the bike quickly. I've broken my wrist and seperately the ulna at the wrist bone and it can take some time and...
There are a few loops around mine (South Wales) where I feel OK doing 40k in total but are never more than 10-15 mins away from home car wise if you have a mechanical or an off....
I don't think overall distance is that bad if you aren't silly miles out of your local reach and bike in the...
That's awesome to hear. Glad it's done a good stretch for you.
I'm about 1/3 miles you have done and so far so good.... fingers crossed I get close to these miles
Hi mate, I'll be game for a pair of Magic Mary - 29x2.6.
Unless you are closer to South Wales (Newport) rather than FOD then I'll go for posting. Will message you shortly.
Same here - bought a '19 Levo expert, i'll have it for years. Owned the same stump-jumper for around 5yrs before that. I used to fall into chop-and-change must have cultures that you get with hobbies and internet forums.... and to be fair its awesome and loads of fun/obsession driving...
No SL for me mate, but my 2012 stumpjumper (ancient by Levo SL standards) had click on preload and that was solved by re-doing the rear shock bolts and bushing - out, cleaned and torq'd.
Bike noises are hard to track down - its not a good noise to have on 3 weeks of use. One for the bike...
I'm not hugely in tune to bike changes but adding a magic mary to the front of my Levo made a noticeable difference to grip on my levo, especially lower speed steeptech trails.
I added a hans dampf on the rear at the same time but remain to be sold on that tyre for this bike (was great on my...
This is great news, thank you Specialized. Still thankfully no issue on the 19' Levo (well, had and off and broke my arm today... but the bike is fine!).
Having the peace of mind for another 3+ years cover is really reassuring. Well done
Absolutely not, I've covered more miles and ridden more trails than ever, its been worth every penny in the 4 months I've had it already.
The only thing that might regret it a bit is my work trousers. I'm not sure that this is a lockdown thing or an ebike thing but by this time each summer...
So I have a great day at BPW last Friday. The trails were running really nicely, the place was very quiet compared to a "Usual" Friday.
I was on my 700w Levo expert and managed 9 runs but certainly needed an hour or so top up (for the £5er!) early afternoon. I was doing a mix of the full...
Much appreciated for that write up, super helpful.
Hoping to get 7 laps out of my 700w battery then - but will certainly take the extension lead and charger with the aim of a top up over a coffee and sandwiches.
I'd heard that the Beast if Burden is not the most efficient climb... I've done...
