I used to skate a lot, just not in the past few years and never rode an electric board until this one came a few days ago. But, these things are absolutely a thrill and actually scary at first. Acceleration just on eco is quick. It''l go 24+ miles on a charge, do almost 35 mph. You have 3 power...
I know it's a non-emtb topic, but does anyone here ride electric skatboards? I just got a Backfire Zealot X. This thing if frigging amazing. Almost scary fast.
The manuf need to have a special high output mode where the battery would last about an hour. Something like...
"Super Aguri Ichi Ban Numba 1...Supah Numba 1" mode.
I'd buy that bike.
Well of course 20mph is 20 mph is 20 mph...it just depends on how fast you want to get to 20 mph or up to whatever speed you want. I ride woods single track 100% of the time. You rarely hit 20...unless you want to hit a tree really hard. I ride my Bosch motor in emtb mode most of the time. Turbo...
Yes, I have and do have fast cars...I drive them...fast. The only thing stopping me from fast driving more is a speeding ticket. There are no speeding tickets on a single track. can't really equate the two. But, turbo is fun as hell on emtb's.
If you have an emtb...make turbo/boost your friend. It's like having a really fast car and putting a friggin govenor on it to only do the speed limit. What's the point? .
I am going by my experience with Trek as well as the reviews. I can't go sit on a Crestline and do the touchy, feely thing. I have to buy on blind trust. My first Trek (9.7) just fit me perfectly. Kind of like Honda MX bikes always fit me ergo wise. Oh, my local shop, they'd fix whatever I ask...
Trek makes a heck of a bike. I doubt anyone would argue that. All these bikes over $10k are overpriced IMHO. That Crestline bike is a REALLY great build. Not real hot on the copper/black color combo though. But, they're just too much of a local and boutique brand to take a risk $13,000 risk 1500...
I spoke to Joe at Wheel and Sprocket Tuesday expressing interest in the 9.9 CXR in black. He told me they had $200 off, making the bike $13,299 plus tax. Basically, zero discount in my eyes. I called Weds night and spoke to another associate about the deal and Joe was to call me the next day...
Crestline and Orbea are great bikes. But, for this kind of $$, I don't want to have it shipped to me. I would rather go to my dealer and pick it up. Just in case of problems I have their support.
I am kind of in the market for a bike. I would really like the CX Race motor, but I don't know what bike brands it is available on. Or if I can even find one at all. I live in the US, so any help would be appreciated.
